No trip to Belgium is complete without a trip to Brussels, so I went with Daniel and Dr. King, both from the U of A. We took a train to Brussels Central, got off, and started walking around. We walked past the royal palace, down to the Grote Markt (Grand Place), saw Manneken Pis, and had a late lunch of what else...mussels.

These trees have their branches supported horizonally by some kind of lattice work. I'm sure it's beautiful in the springtime.

I read in one of my travel guides that the King of Belgium doesn't actually live here. It's used mainly for official and ceremonial events.

This was actually a shopping center.

This place was full of restaurants. Each restaurant had someone standing outside trying to convince you to eat in their restaurant as you walked by.
