Friday Vienna - the capital of Austria. We arrived in Vienna at about midday, and by the time we found the Hostel and settled down, it was about 3pm.. John's business trip to Vienna this year turned into almost a week away - in a lovely city with fantastic weather and we met so many people I can hardly remember them all! Left Brussels on the Thursday evening - flight was a bit delayed so we had a light snack in the airport as no food on the plane! Hello one and all, moved over to Innsbruck on Tuesday. Great train ride, very comfortable :) Today is Thursday 22 May, just using a little spare time I have before I catch a bus to another attraction! Arrived at my hotel and I told Amy that I am competing with her tiny room at the backpackers in Hamilton she uses when on her Vet Nursing block courses! All we want to do is our stupid washing and we cant. We have been back in Graz for 2 weeks, used up every single item of clothing we own and cannot get the key to the laundry from the neighbour in the next building, to finally do our washing. We have to go to the next building, give them 30cents, we get a special coin and a key, then go to our top floor and use the washing machines up there. We got our silver, thin coins from a lady who smelt like cats and went up to the laundry. There was no where for these precious coins to fit at all no matter how hard we rammed them into random 220V sockets so we chucked our stuff into the machines and hit the start button and it started so we were happy with that and kept our coins to give to the many beggers about town. Well I am a little bit behind so the next few entries are catch ups! I left Prague after an awesome time and headed to Vienna.. Funny thing.. at the train station I bumped into two Canadian girls who I have constantly been seeing everywhere and then bumped into another Canadian guy who we also met in Berlin! It was nice having people to ride the train with so I wasn't alone talking to myself (which I must admit sometimes I do do traveling alone and all). Today is my last night in Vienna and I am sad that I am leaving. I have had such a great time here. I have met so many people and have had such a great time. I met a girl last night that went to high school with lots of people that I hung out with in college. Today I just walked around. I went to the Belvedere Museum and saw Klimt's The Kiss. Hello All Yesterday I took the train to Zurich early in the morning and arrived around 1pm. I spent the day walking around the lake they have there. It was nice but the weather hasnt been that great. It has been quite cold and rainy which sucks a lot!! The lake was nice though. I had to wait until 10pm to catch my overnight to Vienna. The overnight train was quite an experience!! May 21, 2008 Wow, we had another busy day. We both got to sleep quickly but my cell phone rang at 3:47am and woke us. I was unable to get the call before it dropped. The call was from area code 413. I apologize for the absence of blogs lately. I have just been in Berlin for a week for my final year seminar with my program.
