We make reservations for a couchetta (bed on the train, after figuring out 10 minutes on the ticket office), just remember we were on a low budget travel so we reserve for the cheapest ones meaning 6 people sleeping on a 3x2 meter cabin what a shocking experience, fortunately by logic we took the superior beds, just to put another element on the story it was summer and a very hot summer, so six people on that cabin felt like hell, the first thing was move you're backpack to your bed, at least on the top were more room, on the cabin we met a very nice english couple, but c'mon the temperature was crazy, suddenly the first shock the driver pass for check the tickets growning some thing in german, only the german couple that was sleeping on the floor level have some chat with him, we ask in english if the air conditioning was broken and this guy very funny groaning in german again closed the door in an energic way and suddenly the air began to flow.

After a very bad night we pass the italian-austrian border we get down the train for make valid aour "Free Breakfast" that was a bread with butter and a cup of coffee (I'll never get used to these continental europe breakfasts), we decide that day no to shower since we will staying at Vienna only that day (bad decision) the firs thing was getting a transport pass for that day, making that on italy was very easy for us since as I've stated Italian is very comprehensible for an spanish speaker, but wow , we approached to the automatic ticket machine, totally full of buttons with nice signs in German!!!, crap we didn't speak a word of german, so we tried to figure out the meaning, didn't work suddenly this hippie guy approach to us, I remember very clear what he said "Do you are afraid of me", well he look weird but certainly he don't inspired any fear to us, very kindly offer to help us to get our pass and a new cultural experience began "Trusting in strange people" coming from Mexico City nit very common, so every thing were right we change some Austrian Schillings getting rid of as most italian liras we could.

Again going in the principles of extreme touring we had only one hot day to know as most of vienna we could. We head to History musueum, very interesting see medieval armors, antique clothing and the history of Vienna defense against the Turks (I really love history) then walking trough the streets a ver well ordered city, an important thing I've saw in the different cities we visited was how safe do you feel in that city goes directly related to the amount of police you see, In Italy (Like Mexico) was common to see police everywhere but in Vienna I didn't see not even one; then we headed to the palace zone where the Royal Family of the Habsburg had constructed a magnificent even oppulent structures on this zone , one word "Spectacular" we visited the ethnic museum just to see one thing (is fair to say very courious about some historic fact).

Mexico in the first french invasion we had impose an Emperor that as a curious fact was an Habsburg the leyend says that between the treasures from Mexico that he sent to Austria was the Penacho (Feathered Crown) of the last Aztec Emperor "Moctezuma" on exhibition on the ethnic museum on vienna the real thing is that yes is an aztec ceremonial crown but not the one of Moctezuma's then to close the historic reference Napoleon took out their troops from Mexico leaving only some to support the Emperor so Mexican Republicans take the government again and shoot Maximilian of Habsburg (Ironic the airs of the Habsburg family still lives in Mexico since after Austria convert into a Republic they put a law on which a Habsburg can not put a feet on Austria).

So well returning to Motezuma's crown during all these year there were formal claims to the governement of Austria to return it but this was not answered (part of this claim are an example of many of the claims around the world for returning stolen arqueological artifacts from Egypt, Greece many of the Latinamerican Countries, India etc, to famous museums like the Louvre, British Museum, and others that in ages of imperialism and colonialism was taken from their origin - Not Judging just making points to complete the blog-), walking around this palace we find another cultural and migration fact, Austria is the frontier between west Europe and the East so we saw man polish ilegal inmigrants trying to make their day, we found these really gorgeous polish girls giving propaganda to a theatrical representation of the Habsbourg court.

One of the most important Austrian icons is Mozart, so visit where Mozart born was interesting then we headed to a Plaza around the Cathedral (Stephansplatz) were many of these street artists were making their performance for a few coins there I fall in love of a very pretty polish girl playing clasical guitar, what a beauty of music was a shame to see her asking for money, Is important to state that we have many prejudges about poverty travelling gives you another perspective of human nature.

At that time of the day a felt dirty, very tired and even my hunger left even that the foor look so tasty Frank asked for these Austrian look alike hot-dog from a list of many different types of sausages, I convinced myself that I was not a real Backpacker and I needed a shower ASAP, we went to the train station aftrer figuring if I remember well which of the 5 different stations we had to take and which tram will leave us (yes a tram I,ve just saw a tram in Mexico city photos from 50 year ago) and the interesting part learning some words in German, take my advice always figure out al least how to say thank you have the courtesy, you're a guest in a foreign country don't forget that.

So at last we found our station and lucky us there was shower, suddenly I felt in a horror room, I like to consider myself open minded so I only will describe the seen, we go 2 floors downstairs to a basement look very dirty, at the end of the hall there was this Big old lady charging some amount of schillings for the showers sitting on a wood box very bizarre scene, but been real my fatigue and need for a shower were superior.....
