One of my favorite bands, Minus the Bear, is currently undergoing a tour of the United States. According to the press release in November, they're only selling their new EP "Acoustics" on this tour and online. Meaning.... I ain't gonna get a physical copy because I can't go to their shows to buy in person.
This can be remedied though! Their final show of this tour is next week!
Nov 22 -- Seattle, WA -- Showbox at the Market
I will gladly pay back anyone that goes to the show next week and picks up an extra copy for me. Just make sure to message me first, so I don't end up having to pay back multiple people.
For those of you behind the times, (you know I kid you), Minus the Bear is known for their melodic and progressive arrangements. Their guitarist, Dave Knudson often makes use of tapping the fret board to play a series of notes. While predominant in their early career, it can still be heard in the new material, which has been loosely referred by some as having a Pink Floyd feel to it. And I know you golden oldies can relate to them! :)

Onto other things... I didn't make it out to Ukraine due to time/money/etc. Had I gone, I'd have had 2 hours or so to explore before taking the 5 hour trip back (it ended up being longer than I thought) To undertake this kind of journey, I would like to dedicate more time so as not to detract from the experience. Therefore, I will do so next time.
I bought my return ticket the first time through Budapest. To save just a ton of money, I decided to fly to New York and bus it the rest of the way home. Thus, I don't get home until after Thanksgiving and all that. Get to spend some time with some glorious friends and so forth to boot!
We're currently in Vienna and will be seeing the Fleet Foxes (another Seattle band) tonight at the arena. Went to the museum to see purdy pictures by Gustav Klimpt and more from Igon Schiele (who we'd seen some of already in Krumlov.
This hostel is full of Australians. I aided one with info on where he could get Vegemite. He came back as thrilled as Katie and I were when we found peanut butter in the ethnic foods section in Bratislava.
Tomorrow, back to Budapest and the journey home. Sorry again for no pictures right away, and the briefness... but my time on these computers is super limited.

Come home and time to move to PORTLAND!!!
Thanksgiving wasn't the same without you and your bounty of board games. I'm glad to hear you're getting "those" kind of experiences you were looking for... as bland and broad as that sounds. And I'm excited to visit you in Portland, and yes, I know I'm a bad person for not seeing you in Steilacoom. Tell, Katie I said, "Hello," and "Get yer arse back here," because I have no idea how to contact her.
It will be good to see you again. I am looking forward to getting the in person versions and the play by plays! I love the facial and body gestures that go along with the rich embellishments of the stories.
Katie should be back in Seattle right now! She flew back yesterday morning. Call her and she may appear before your very eyes!
