hello all,
just arrived in salzburg, think it has something to do with julie andrews because i keep seeing expensive sound of music tour offers. To get me in the mood i listened to do re mi on the train on repeat. Was sad to leave budapest, maybe the most fascinating city I have visited thus far, complete with turkish baths which I unfortunately arrived at too late to take a dip, castles, bridges, fountains, underground bars and dance floors, goulash, and good lord thousands of hippies. highlights include,
1. eating half of an innocent looking green pepper in my goulash before realizing it was the spiciest thing i have ever eaten and crying at the dinner table while i desperately sucked on my bread and chugged my beer so that i could feel my mouth again.
2. running into some frantic brits exiting a weird underground bar,
"is either of you a medic?"
"good grief, what happened to your ear?"
"some ****** bit it! are you a medic?"
haha unfortunately neither of us had brought our bandages and antiseptic and i advised him to clean it and keep it elevated.
3. the sheets in my hostel: struggled to figure out which end to shove the duvet in before realizing there was just a giant circular hole in the center of it, very strange.
4. finally going to bed after midnight...
for those who have asked if i am not very happy based on the tone of these blogs, please dont worry, i am having a wonderful fascinating time and the writing style is not my fault. love to all
av

It will be good when you're reunited with your camera cord; these illustrationless reports leave the imagination too much freedom. And what's this - you were out without your rubber gloves, anti-death face mask, and tube of antiseptic....? What sort of first responder are you? At least Laura would have had floss that you could have used for stitches.
Which reminds me of a story; when exiting a Manchester (UK) night club, one of our party came out with a toilet seat. He was also in need of medical attention!! Oh to be young again.
I <3 Budapest! It was so interesting and gorgeous! I'm still jealous of you over there... Enjoy Austria! I hope you get to hit Vienna and do the palaces... They are certainly a site.
Hellllooooo,
So I'm writing to you from the boston public library, or as we boston public library go-ers call it, the BPL. Boston is great just got A/C back after my upstairs roommates turned it off thinking that their electrical box was hooked up to their own A/C unit, how silly. I hope you get a cool haircut like julie andrews had and sing the hills are alive at least once while in Austria. I also hope that someday you watch the end of the movie and exclaim, "i was there!!! bah!!!!" Well anywayssss I miss you alot and hope that you come to boston soon! Its a tourist destination as well pretty much better than Budapest, I could probably find some underground clubs with ear biters if you want. COME HOME TO ME. Love, Laura
Breaking news, using the latest scientific theory, we believe that the easter duck (the green one) is in fact a female! Waiting for the first sign of duck eggs to confirm this observation. Bets now open on the color of any ducklings.
