How to become an Islander...

Hey Everyone, It's been a long time since my last blog. Well a lots happened since then. About a month ago
my Parents Came out to visit me. Since leaving for Thailand about 2 years ago I've seen the about twice. So
This was a great trip and it was nice to see Mom and Dad. They came down for 12 days following a 6 day cruise
to the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. This was the First time they were ever in the Caribbean. As a child we travelled
quite often to places like Florida, Minnesota, and Banff but never to the Caribbean. So this was a special Trip for them to see this part of the world that I've been living in. Well we went down on the first couple days they were here we went to the New Cruise Terminal in Grand Turk to sun tan and have a couple ... ( more than a couple) Corona's. We also Made a trip out to Gibb's Cay to have some Jon's Famous Rum Punch and snorkel with the sting rays. Gibb's Cay is a protected inhabited island just a mile off of Grand Turk. We'll the next few days i was a bit busy with work so mom and Dad went and entertained themselves at the beautiful Bohio beach resort on the north end of island where they worked on their tan. We also made a very exiting trip out to Salt Cay which is a island about 3 miles off from Grand Turk. Salt Cay has about 60 people living on it( It has more Donkey's then People). We went and started a sunset boat ride over with Tim, Ty (from Oasis divers), Joel, and Steph. On the way there we seen 2 Humpback whales next to the boat. So we just stared in Awe... at these awesome creatures. Once we Got to Salt Cay we were going to Porters for his Hawaiian beach party so we all had to dress up into our gear. Well se had a great meal with roasted pig and all the fixings. After supper the Real party started... Porter has this special event at the Bar called the ZOO. The Zoo consist of 4 shots all representing a Zoo animal. The first is the WOLF, second Haitians Donkey, the Blue Morey and Last is MoMa. You have to take the shot then do the sound and action after. Well me and Dad went head to head at this one we ended up finishing The zoo.. I forgot on important thing was the size of the shot the normal zoo is a one ounce shot or the middle bigger zoo 2 ounces and the King is the Leader of the Pack!!!! Well we Did the leader of the Pack .... OOOO bad choice. well long story short the pictures say everything. Well After that we went to Stay at the White House in Salt Cay is a private house and it was built over 200 years ago. It was the center in the world salt trade and the furniture is more than 300 years old. WE stayed the only in a life- time. When we got back to GT i wasn't doing to well as the picture will speak for themselves. We aslo Taught Mom and dad to snorkel and a little bit of diving around Grand Turks famous wall of 7,000 feet.


Well I want to end my Blog by just saying it was such a great time having mom and dad out here seeing how they became busy city people to Islander's!! It was so much fun having them out here .. Thanks Mom and Dad.
