Ok, from Panama City we took a bus to San Carlos, an hour and a half north and stayed at Hostel Costazul, which was nice but coompletely desserted. It was also AGAIN ANOTHER holiday (apparently they have a lot here) and there were little things open in the small town and they don´t sell alcohol on holidays so we high tailed it outta there and the next day caught the only bus that woulnd stop for us and went to Santiago and got out there and were offered a ride from a guy in a van to David for cheap with no stops, so against our better judgement we took it and found out he was a nice guy named Joel trying to make a quick buck while delivering pamphlets for Budget car rental and we arrived safely in good time. We spent the day in David drinking multiple cervasas to make up for the previous holiday and stayed at the Purple House Hostel. Yah english speaking tourists! They have given us many excellent tips! Snorkeling was great the 2nd or 3rd time out, the first trip in the water we were not paying attention and went past the rocks protecting us from the current and I had a little difficulty swimming with no flippers and the camera on my arm in the drift, so I banged into some
Driving to Boca Chica
Cows with long ears and camel humps rocks and cut my foot and swallowed some delicious sea water. After that we figured out the area and had hours of wonderful, calm snorkeling ahead. Ross was addicted to it and hauled my ass off the towel to follow exotic fish! We are now hoping to make our way to the 10 day Flower Festival in Boquette, which can be hiked to from Guadalupe, so we are on our way to try and do that if there are vacancies there, it is well known to be completely booked. Sorry for the delays in updates, we will post as often as we are able! xo
