Playa Maderas
Our view from the hotel... Hola,
Will keep this short and sweet...pics will tell the story
The path...from the Corn Islands to San Juan de Sur and Playa Maderas in Nicaragua, then to Costa Rica at Montezuma, Malpais, Quepos, Manuel Antonio, San Jose, Cahuita, then to Panama where we are now in Bocas del Toro having a very hard time leaving...
As the title says, we have been about as lazy as two people can get. In fact trying to think of what to write is even difficult cause we have been the laziest blobs ever, lovin every minute of it. San Juan and Playa Maderas were nice, surfed a bit, lounged a lot.
After that we bused it down to Montezuma and Malpais, both places really just layed on the beach, go figure. Malpais however, a favorite of mine last time did not dissappoint, the place is super chill with a killer beach thats like 15km long, so we were able to find our own spot every day. It was here that we discovered we had some repressed talents, Teri can impersonate elvis and Shane has a pretty killer Forrest Whittaker impression. In awe I am sure you all are, as
Malpais, CR
my fave...this beach is killer i said, we have accomplished a lot. Oh ya, we also found Clamato...a sun beam from god shone on it in the supermarket so we had ceasers, many many ceasers, a definite highlite of the trip.
Finally, with a sudden burst of motivation, we went to Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park and took a cool jungle hike and saw tonnes of wildlife, then lounged on the beach some more...mmmmmm beach.
With the motivation still running at an all trip high, we went to San Jose to get some awesome tattoos...sorry no pics, doesnt do them justice, you will have to wait and see, they are friggin sweet though...Teri got one on her back and I got one on my leg, 3 hours later.
With all that activity, motivation swiftly drained, we needed beach time badly so off to Cahuita on the Carribean...sweet town, totally chill rasta vibe. Our timing coincided with a festival there so we hit the sauce and had a good couple of nights.
Then off to Panama, Bocas del Toro. Pretty sure we will be spending the remainder of the trip here. With the sun shining full blast, we have spent the
Manuel Antonio NP
three toed sloth, this is what we look like now...we have algae growing on our backs from not moving too last 5 days renting boats for $10 each, where they take you to pristine remote beaches and awesome snorkelling spots...veeeeeeeeery hard to leave, especially when you add on to that 50 cent beers...a no brainer really.
So ya, it sounds like we havent done anything, thats simply because we havent...have been totally content to be as lazy as is humanly possible and with only 9 days left, i see no motivation in the future...however, we are swinging the idea of a last day white water rafting trip into the mix, with all the rain we heard the rapids are III and IV...big and fun...we will just have to see...
Peacenluv always, Elvis and Whittaker.
