Entry 3: First Full Day at St Martin

Ahhh what a day! After worrying about the weather from reading a pessimistic review yesterday, we had a beautiful sunny and hot day, enjoying the beach and sleeping in LATE:). After our late wake up, we got ready and went into town to get some groceries. We found (among a bunch of very dirty and run down shops), a small grocery store. It seemed nicer than the rest of the dirty shops around it, so we went in and looked around. It only had 3 aisles and had the feeling of a shop that had been set up during a hurricane. But they had many good things, so we picked up the essentials (fruit loops, pringles, and some water) and thanked the friendly clerk. After a crazy drive home, we realized the lid on the milk wasn't all the way on and had leaked in the back seat. Then our fridge was broken so we were brought a new one. After eating our yummy cereal we changed and headed (FINALLY) for the beach! The weather was still amazing and hot, and the water was crystal clear. We got to the beach and the sand and water were exactly what we'd hoped, not too hot and not too cold, and the waves were a blast to play in. We spent a lot of time swimming and having a blast in the water, laying on the sand and letting the waves wash over us. It was amazing! After some time we took another crazy drive into town to take pictures and see where things were, and got a chance to pick up an SD card hub so that we could download pictures:). When we got back to the resort we decided to lay in front of the infinity pool and relax...we both ended up falling asleep for some time, which felt so nice!!! Occasionally the ocean water would splash up on us which was funny because we were up from the water pretty far. We went back to our room and had coffee, and decided to run out and get dinner once it was dark. We walked to Beau Beau's Bar & Grill which basically floated over the water and shared an amazing dish of shrimp pasta, a slice of cheesecake, and a mai tai. It was so dark by then the ocean just blended in with the sky...it is a beautiful night out! There's a spicey spanish band playng just outside our room right now...:) They are soooo amazingly good and have a fantastic guitarist and vocalist. :) Here are some pics...
