Some stones are not original, but the carvings at this site are still very impressive.

This is the largest hieroglyph in Mesoamerica. It tells the story of the rulers of Copan.

This stairway is bring refurbished. Remarkably, visitors were allowed to walk on this pyramid until 1970.
