We arrived at the hotel and all the kids with PSP's found a wireless signal. For those out of touch with hand held game consoles a PSP is a Playstation you can hold in your hands, and it uses wireless internet. One of my 7th graders found out the pass code and now I'm blogging. Currently I am in my room with Melvin and Dennis; both 7th graders. Melvin is watching the Simpsons and Dennis is playing video games. Now Nelson and Kevin, two 8th graders, just walked in the room. Nelson took Dennis' video game away and now they are both gone.
Dennis would like to say the following: "Hello. Today we swim in the pool... It was dirty. And I go to take a shower and Melvin was in swimming and he swallow a fly- a dead fly and he was sick."
Melvin would like to state the following: "Hello, how are you? I hope that you are what? I don't know... put... (now he is distracted by the TV) and... portarse bien... behave good. You are using the internet, Mister? You are using for free? Is fast or slow?"
Since neither of them care to enlighten my audience on our activities today, I will fill you in on the details. We loaded up in our bus at around 7:00 AM and headed into Tegus'. Once we got into the city we played "Adios." Adios is a game where my students yell out the bus window at people. whoever provokes a response gets a point.
Hold on Eric, my 9th grader, just came in and he has something to say: "Hello, guys how are you? Le deseo una feliz dia... noche... o tarde. El viaje a valle de Angeles es una asco." (Eric says he isn't having a good time on the field trip... now he is leaving along with Dennis and Melvin... and Kevin is entering and offering me kool-aid.)
So where was I? Oh right, the "Adios" game. Well after we played Adios all through the market we drove past the museum. There was a big group of people standing outside and all the 11th graders started screaming crazy things at them... then they realized that this was our stop and they would now have to exit the bus and stand in line with all the people they just harassed. Classic.
We went through the museum, which I will elaborate on in the next blog, and it was just alright. We also saw an old theater which was really beautiful. I took a lot of photos of the theater and I'll be sure to post them once the camera gets charged back up.
After the museum and theater we went to the mall for some grub and then came here to the valley. Valle de Angeles is really nice. It is a small town in the mountains about 20 minutes outside of Tegus. There is a small little cathedral and central park. It is your typical spanish style town. Like I said before, I will elaborate on all of this in the next blog. For now I have some swimming to do in the pool. CANNONBALL!

So far, it sounds like things are reasonably under control. Why don't you give your students another travel-blog assignment? That would be fun to read! Can't wait to see the photos you've taken.
I like the sound of this game, maybe I'll try on our next road trip.
