Our great location, prices, and friendly, social environment, have made us a favorite student and travelers secret for years. Our rooftop patio offers incredible views of Xela, and is a great place to hang out and catch some sun. Downstairs, we have a common area with couches and a TV, and a full kitchen with refrigerator. Staying at Hostel La Estacion, you will find an eclectic mix of Guatemalan University students staying for the semester, foreign Spanish school students staying for a couple of weeks, and backpackers passing through for a few nights - and of course, the friendly owners that work to keep La Estacion clean, comfortable and social. Hostel La Estacion also offers a '"'homestay'"' option, which includes 3 home-cooked meals a day in the family kitchen and plenty of opportunity for Spanish conversation. Includes private room with closets and storage space for just $50 per week. To all of our guests, family style home-cooked breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are offered at an unbeatable Q15 per meal. Four clean bathrooms, each with a hot shower, are available to be shared amongst guests. Long-term discounts are available for stays of a week or more.
