The most beautiful lake in the world? Lake Atitlan (But not quite as nice as Loch Lomond!)

Websites and guidebooks told us not to go near San Pedro on Lake Atitlan as it is a hotbed of armed robberies and rapes. So how did we manage to end up there digging in to a rare fried breakfast complete with crispy bacon? Well, as some of the small roads around the lake are too dangerous to travel on, we reckoned we would be safer on a boat! We booked an all-day boat trip around the lake. The first place the boat stopped, for breakfast, was San Pedro! Anyway it seemed quiet enough and we had a beautiful view of the lake from our cafe (we didn't stray far from the boat!).

We are a young couple (well, in our 40's) from London. Gerry is a Team Manager in Social Services, working with children in care. Denise is deputy manager of a Children's Centre. From 1st October 2004 we started travelling around the world for a year, first stop India, then SE Asia and on into Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Back to London after a stop in Los Angeles and then off to Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala and up to Cuba. Only when it's clear
This lake is truely beautiful, however, it's hazy most days. There is a ton of garbage around the shores, but none the less if you catch a clear day, it could be breath taking

Lake Saiful Mulook - No comparison
Spend a full moon night or a lovely dawn. There is no place that can match the scenic beauty of this magical lake. The water is more than crystal clear fed by mountain glaciers. The lake is accessible through May to September and is frozen during winters.

lake saif ul muluk in naran pakistan is beautiful but lake dodipatsar (Pakistan)is even more beautiful...i havent seen all the lakes in the world but im sure lakes in pakistan are the most beauutiful..and this lake whatever its name is not so beautiful

Hey! what's up! I have to say that I actually met this beautiful lake, and you know what, the view is just, AMAZING, when you are going on the way to that place (Solola) that image is really breathtaking, you don't find the words to express that beauty, if you don't believe me, just visit it. kashmir lakes
there are very beautiful lakes and water bodies in kashmir india but we do not find any photograph of any water body there why so.
