Xela and Birthdays

Hey Everyone, Well, here I am. Today is my birthday. My first birthday away from home. I'm not doing anything special today. I'm gonna do some pondering, eating, smoking, and listening to Bob Dylan today. I'm throwing a party at my house on Saturday. It should be fun. I remember when I was 20 I told Leigh that I would get married when I was 28. She told me you can't pick the year, and she was right. Haha, I don't even have a girlfriend. I have been meeting a lot of girls but nothing to serious. Last weekend I went to Xela. It's the 2nd biggest city in Guatemala. I went with my friends Cesar and Manuel. We partied all night until 4 in the morning. We went to like 8 bars. It was a lot of fun. I didn't speak English for 3 days. It was great! Sometimes I'm just blown away sometimes when I think about the fact that I'm understanding and communicating all in Spanish. Xela is a lot prettier than the city. Most of the buildings are in Greek style so it feels like you're in Greece with Guatemalans all around. The bars close at 1am but this bar we were in would just turn off the music and lights when the police came by. they did that like 8 times. It was hilarious. When we got back to the hotel we were locked out and I was so tired that I almost fell asleep on the sidewalk. I miss all of you. Brad, thanks for the songs and I'm happy that you're happy.
