This security guy packs a 12 gauge at the hotel were at right now *** Below is Ray's start, we can't edit the caps, sorry.***
What a cople of days ,end to end action. One day it was our 225 kilometers of twisting road through the mountains from Oaxaca or the night spent in a colonial hotel in Tempatcula.
I HAVE NEVER IN MY 125,00 MKS OF RIDING EEVER SEEN ANYTHING THA YOU COULD COMPARE TO OUR RIDE THROGH LOW MOUNTAINS ON A 2 LANE ROAD THAT WAS PURE CURVES THE WHOLE WAY . I ACTUALLY WAS STARTING TO HOPE FOR A STRAIGHT STRETCH AFTER THE FIRST HOUR AAND A HALF.WE SAW AUAVA PLANTS ON THE VILLAGE SPOTS AND THE MESCAL.
Pretty well have to catch up later. We've had long days, very little internet places as we travel further south. Leaving Mexico turned out to be a bit of a problem that was solved with money. Entering Guetemala was the same. We had a 3 guys follow us about 20km from the border on the 2 lane highway to "help" us cross into Gutemela. We were swarmed with people that wanted to get us through. We were the only ones in 2 hours we saw at the immigration office.

Lunch
Not many pictures, this made the cut took around 3 hours total to cross and about 3 litres of sweat waiting to get through. Guetemela is much more raw then Mexico.
It's been a challenge to even get through some of the smaller cities we've hit. Narrow paths, no street signs, hundreds of people walking, biking, packing fruit, logs, animals etc etc..
We thought we turned heads in Mexico!
The riding is intense in the tropic down pours. We've been soaked at the end of each day. Not to mention the highways are actually 2 lane roads that are riddled with pot holes, out of control buses, rigs, ox, cows, donkeys, pigs, chickens, snakes and of course dogs.
We still don't have a real map and can't seem to find one.
The bikes are holding up well, and are taking a good beating.
Tonight we lucked out and found a French ex-pat who runs a splendid hotel in St.Lucia, he has quite a story. He made us the best meal so far on the trip. As well, had our clothes washed and pressed in 2 hours.
We expect to hit Panama in the next 5 days. The border
Pacific Ocean
The Reynolds hit the Pacific Ocean only because we made a wrong turn crossings are really going to slow us down however. All the Reynolds practiced deep breathing today.
Hope all is well.
