Ladies of the Night - Guatemala
So here’s a fun story - it’s about how I came to live in a whorehouse in Antigua Guatemala.

Three years ago I was searching for a new place to live in Antigua Guatemala and came upon a lovely casita with a beautiful interior garden complete with a large tangerine tree that literally “rains” tangerines twice a year.

After a few months in my new home, my landlady – a Gringa from Key West Florida – gave me the ‘back story’ about my new home – and it is quite a story indeed.

Some 22 years ago my landlady bought my house and also the house next door to it. At the time of the purchase the house next door was a Guatemalan “Cantina” - complete with cheap liquor and cheap women!

My landlady says it was MY BEDROOM that the Cantina’s “working women” would use to complete their client “transactions” – something that repulses me, yes… but it is also kind of cool. Well, at the very least it is a great story to tell. So yes Mom - now you know – I live in a whorehouse in Antigua Guatemala!

Compared to its infamous past, my bedroom is now far less active – I can assure you of that - but I am doing my best to return it to its former glory! LOL!
