Antigua - Week 3

Monday and Tuesday are spoiled somewhat by my bout of food poisoning. It's not as bad as it could be but I mope about feeling quite sorry for myself and in quite a bit of pain. Thankfully by Wednesday morning I'm feeling much better. I'd made it into school on both Monday and Tuesday but it had been a struggle to concentrate.
And by Thursday I'm also glad it's my last day at the language school - it's been great, but my brain can't take any more! I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of irregular verbs, tenses, indirect objects, direct objects, personal pronouns etc etc.... the more I progress the harder it seems to become to form sentences! Four hours every day means we go at quite a pace and there's no time for my brain to process any of the information. I'm hoping that once I'm out of the school some of what I've learned might actually start to sink in......

I get my certificate on Thursday as I'm leaving on Friday. It also means I miss the compulsory speech in Spanish in front of the whole school and all the teachers - what a shame.

Thursday evening - say goodbye to my host family who've been great and the four other students who are now staying there too.
