So I am now half way through my third week, time is going by so fast. I love my kids so much. The other day I told cindy that I was telling my best friend about her and she just gave me the biggest smile and started giving me hugs and kisses and was so happy that I tell people about her. She is great. Cindy, Jeni, and Wendy have been showing up most days, to the point where I don't really even know what to do with them anymore because they have done all of my ideas for drawings and paintings so many times already. But they're happy doing whatever.
Yesterday I was on dish duty and with almost 100 kids at los patojos I was gone for probably an hour. I was nervous going back to my classroom, that my kids would have found something else to do, or all but destroyed the classroom, as I teach the class alone and no one was supervising them. But it was a nice surprise actually- wendy, cindy and jeni were still there, and five more 10 year olds had joined us as well- jeni's sister, kati, and her friend cynthia, and to my surprise, two boys, one of which, allan, was saying he wanted to learn weaving. So I set him up on the 'costura' and he was really good at it! Cindy had already set herself up on a loom when I got back, but didn't quite know what to do with it, and the other girls were waiting to paint. It was a bit hectic at first, with everyone needing help, but as always, things settled down and everyone happily got to work on their projects.
This week we are working on getting together supplies to make t-shirts. This weekend I need to figure out what else I need to get for the show so I can get it all together by the end of next week. So much to do in a week and a half...
