When we were traveling south we moved quickly through many of the islands as we needed to get below 12 degrees latitude for the hurricane season. One of the islands we did stop at was Carriacou. On a walk saw the sign out front of this house which stated it was “The White House”

In talking to this 6th grader and her mother found out that she is the top student in her class and her aim is to the top student for the whole island. Her plans are to either be a pilot or a dentist. In talking to her I am confident she will make her goal! Had to get her brother in the photo as well.

How do you like this for an internet café? What a view we had and we were even able to have a coke with ice cubes – what luxury!

Our new friends Jim and Valerie with a Peace Corps Botswana connection that are now living in Carriacou. We enjoyed having them visit our home. Their daughter, Zanoya, enjoyed taking a “spin” in the dinghy while visiting us.

We found that passionfruit is great on grapefruit as well as papaya. We had this as a treat for our Christmas breakfast.

Bob was helping her with adjusting the seat on her brand new bike. We also were able to explain to her and her brother how to wear the helmets they got for Christmas as they had them on backwards.

W e always enjoy seeing the pastel colors of many of the island homes. We could see these from our anchorage in Tyrrel Bay.

What a nice place to relax and have a really good meal – at the Slipaway Restaurant in Tyrrel Bay. If you ever get here, you’ll have to try it.

There are numerous islands to explore on the Atlantic side of Carriacou as long as you watch out for the reefs.
