Alright...i know I know...another one so quickly when I havenīt been doing many. Iīm really trying to catch up...iīm like15 days behind!!!!!
So this one will be quicker...just the highlights.
Paddo was supposed to go with his friend Mikey and move on, but he decided he didnīt want to and 4 of us went on to El Cuco so Matt could surf Playa Las Flores. We didnīt know much about where to stay or how to get there, so we took a bus into La Libertad and then decided to spend the extra money to take a taxi there. It was a few hours and we each paid$20 dollars...good deal if you ask me since it cost $35 just to cross vtown in 20 minutes. So where to stay....drove around and found aplace with a pool...4 people, one room $30 total...sounds good to us! Played in the pool had some food and just relaxed the rest of the day way.
That night there was a really awesome thunder storm. We sat on the restaurant wich is on the second floor in hammocks watching for hours. Way cool...next day Asha and I went for a swim at the
beach while Matt surfed...had breaky and didnīt do too much else. I found out Paddo could play Cribbage and it was on!!!!!! I beat him both times...second by a landslide. Swam in the pool some more...there were some kids and Matt let them play on his surfboard. We were doing peguins into the pool off the slide...fund stuff!!!
We stayed there 3 nights...the last night we added Paddīs friend Gaz to the mix...same price for the room. Last morning Asha left us and the new group of 4 headed to Isle de Tigre. Took a bus to san miguel...then to La Union...turns out we canīt get there from where we were...so we headed to San Carlos where we were going to stay the night so we werenīt crossing borders and traveling late at night. Go there ...bus dropped us off...didnīt have any info on the town and a guy in a tuk tuk said heīd take us across the border from $3 each. Couldnīt pass up crossing the border in a tuk tuk so we piled in with all our stuff into 2 tuk tuks and matt had to hold on to his surfboard on top. It was definelty
a fun experience. Took some photos and laughed about it for acouple of days.
On to a bus...looked at where to go...either Nacaome or Jicaro Galan. Two guys one the bus started singing and one played the guiter....that was great fun. The guitarist had written a song about 9/11 that he played for us...it was really beautiful. Francisco, one of the singers, told us to stay in Nacaome and took care of us and found us a place to stay and walked us around town. We settled in and went to find some food. Hondurous versus El Salvador was on the tv...we walked back...and within 30 minutes the town was going crazy with honking and yellin and singing. Turns out they won!!!! Everyone packed into the back of their truck bed and blared on the horn and sang for a few hours in the streets doing laps. They were happy that US beat Costa Rica also every time they passed us they chanted Gingos Gringos!!! or USA USA...it was a lot of fun. These people were so passionate about the whole thing it was great....Iīll try to get a video on here of the night soon!!!
Next morning
Paddo and Gaz decided they needed to move on and headed for Nicaragua while Matt and I figure out how to get to Isle De Tigre. More to come soon!!!!
Pictures are a little out of order and no comments but iīve already spent ages on the computer. Miss you all!!!
