My beautiful second home, The Dominican Republic!
Published: January 14th 2013Central America Caribbean » Dominican Republic » Puerto Plata » Puerto PlataFor the last two years, my mother and I have traveled to Peurto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Although I hate staying in hotels, especially all inclusive.. that is where we have ended up for the last two years.. and we will again this March. The only reason that I am always so excited to go back is because I am so in love with the people and the country. We have been taken all around Peurto Plata by our good friend Andenson, (my future husband & my love at first sight victim. lol) and ever since then.. I have truly felt that Dominican is my second home. I really enjoy it there. Not only are the guys totally attractive.. but the country is just so unbelievably perfect. I love it! I can't wait to go ... read more
10 days of paradise
Published: April 28th 2011Central America Caribbean » Dominican Republic » Puerto PlataFreitag, 8.

Published: September 5th 2010Central America Caribbean » Dominican Republic » Puerto Plata » Puerto PlataDecending out of the rain clouds getting closer and closer to the waves below, I'm looking around saying where the fuck is the runway, I can see the ripples of the waves we're so close to the ocean, nice beachfront homes...then all of sudden out of nowhere the runway is there and the wheels touch the ground ( a few times as we bounce when we hit). I've arrived in the caribbean!! Time for sun and sand and....RAIN? ain't this a whore?! anyways I grab my luggage and head to get my passport stamped, you have to pay $10 for a tourist visa first then head over to get your stamp, the customs dude tries to bullshit a shitter asking for some dollars to stamp my passport, i give him $1.03 and tell him stamp my ... read more
Puerto Plata (Maimon) - Dominican Republic
Published: October 15th 2009Central America Caribbean » Dominican Republic » Puerto PlataWe spent 5 sunny days in Maimon, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. We stayed at the Riu Complex where the service was wonderful. The staff is incredibly happy and friendly. Most of our days were spent on the beach. We only did 2 excersions. Horseback riding and a city tour. The city tour consisted of a cable car ride, trip to the amber museum, trip to the amber/larimar factory, cigar factory, rum factory, fort of san fillippe and city of San Fillippe (Puerto Plata). The tour was nice but there isn't much to see in the city. The shopping was awful. I think that part of the trip was a waste of time. The cable car ride was incredible. I was completely terrified but am so glad I had the courage to go up. Eric was not ... read more
Travelling around Domincan
Published: February 4th 2010Central America Caribbean » Dominican Republic » Puerto PlataThe Domincan was beautiful and vibrant.. I was shocked by the culture, the people, the food and how amazing the locals were! I went with a boyfriend and was expecting to be locked up in our hotel never to be let out again untill 2 weeks later, but I discovered much much more and as it happend spent hardly any time in the Hotel! We landed in Puerto Plata we were greated by dancers and fruit and had are photgraphs taken ... A nice touch you would say!! The drive to the hotel was only 20 minutes away and it was so nice to see all the locals on scooters and motor cycles carrying water on there head along with there 3 kids in uniform on the back of there 2 seater... dont get me wrong ... read more
