It's Sunday morning, I am sitting on the veranda drinking coffee whilst looking at the mountains to my right. Mourne Diablotin looms ahead, two huge mountains sitting in the background. Whispy clouds hang over the peaks and just a little break in the overcast sky allows the sun to shine on the tree tops. It is forever changing.
Rhiann is using the main computer, she is making an e-card for her newest neice, Stephanie-Marie Jameson who entered our world only last week, welcome! Ethan is trying to play his guitar but is finding it difficult on his own. I think we need to go and hassle Kevin (he plays really well).
The ocean looks like a sheet of foil, the sky is filled with clouds but the sun is trying desperately hard to break through. We have had a lot of rain recently. We had a BBQ on Hampstead River only yesterday as it was Rhiann's friend Emilie's 7th Birthday and it rained constantly, rained in our food, rained in our wine and rained in our beer, would we pack up - oh no! The kids did not seem to even notice they played regardless. We took the kayaks
On rainy daysWhen it rains what do you do ..... we sample the local cuisine (we are getting fat lately) !!!
out and Gary and Christine took the surf boards and we headed up the river. The Hampstead River is beautiful, calm and clean (when it is not raining)! The day reminded me of the good old camping days back in old Blighty and especially when we camped in Polzeath, cold, grey skies with sheets of rain coming in from the ocean. So we are not blessed with dazzling sunshine every day but thankful for the rain as it makes our gardens and forests lush and fresh. It is strange how you can get acustomed to the weather, if we get 2 days of rain or more we start to feel "stir crazy" we need to be outside - we are going mad!!!!
Another rainy dayGrab your friends and hit the bars. Our friends Rick & Alicia at Red Rock, Escape Beach Bar
Rainy day 3Recruit a team of children and get them baking cookies! Making a mess in Ann & Bruce's new kitchen at Villapassi - sorry !
Rainy day 143After my second Margarita I honestly can not count beyond 1-2-3. Alicia and Rick's new restuarant Pagua Bay Bar & Grill with friends Staci and Pat
