Eating breakfastJust a typical breakfast of bread and cocoa tea on the Bolivian tour
So, we are cooling off in Monteverde. We are staying in Santa Elena, where 4 days earlier there was a huge bank robbery and 9 people died.. but its okay, there is a fresh coat of paint on the bank and its open again for buisness, never mind all the yellow tape and men with machine guns guarding the place. We went on the canopy tour zip lines and suspension bridges. It was sooooooo much fun, pretty scary at first, but we did quite well at holding our cool. Tomorrow we are off to La Fortuna to go to the hot springs. We finally got the pictures on cd, so we are going to put a bunch up from bolivia till now, hope you enjoy them!!
Our rideThe jeep that 9 of us enjoyed the comforts in for 4 days
Laguna VerdeThe first lagoon that we stopped at, it was this amazing green color
Hot SpringsWe dipped our feet in a little hot springs pool along the road
The Best HIghwayOne of the better roads we encountered in Bolivia, i think its because there was one
LlamasThe llamas were just hanging out of our ¨refugio, not the least bit scared of us
Laguna ColoradoThe red lake where we spent the first night, it was full of flamingos
one of many.......after so many flat tires in one day, our guide had to use a bicycle pump and keep pumping up the tire every time we stopped
The Uyuni RailroadWe stopped at some railroad tracks on the way to the salt plains, from the looks of the tracks, we were glad to be in our jeep
another mishapwe continue to take pictures of the vehicle, because, well, we spent alot of the day watching our guide fix it
The gangAt the end of the trip, and out of the jeep, we packed together one more time for one last photo op
The Floating IslandsThese people live on floating islands on Lake Titicaca, Peru. The floor, houses and boats are all made of bamboo reeds
The boatsWe got to ride on this boat, it was really relaxing, worth a couple of bucks
Sunset in LimaAs we stuffed our faces at Tony Romas, this is the beautiful sunset we got to enjoy
The Panama CanalIt may not be as pretty as the rest of the pictures, but definately one of the coolest things we have seen
Suiting upGetting ready for the zip lines, on the canopy tour in Monteverde

Wow, what great pictures of some unreal places. Amazed at where you have been and seen. Enjoy the rest of your trip, as the last weeks will fly by. - Mom Dianna
Those are great pictures - looks like you are seeing great things - and great scenery. I see you went on the zip line Miss - so your arm must be better - I hope. I love the guy with the bicycle pump - and I agree - that train track does not look "good". Take care - Love Auntie Elaine - Auntie Elaine
Monteverde is definately cooler, but the zip lines are worth the trip. The hot springs are amazing try not to drink for 4 hours in there and then try to get out and stand, it doesnt work so well. Have fun and let me know where else you are going in Costa rica!! - Kendra
Hi, We are following you up even though we havent written much. I am so proud of you, Jolene. We are seeing and we dont believe where you have been, and I imagine you are there and you dont believe all the things you have seen and done. You two are pretty brave to do all those dangerous things. We love the pictures, I dont know which is my favorite. They all say a thousand words and they probably left you with a thousand feelings. Love and enjoy and continue your lovely trip. Love Auntie Arlene and family - Auntie Arlene
