Just an update to let everyone know what we have been up to...and the answer is alot of nothing. Actually, alot has happened. We spent 3 nights in the Boca islands on the carribean side of Panama, and Dejan, you were right, these were the best beaches we have seen. On the 3rd day, after I went for a long walk in the heat of the day, i came back quite tired and thirsty. Thinking that this combination wasn't too deadly, I ran uptown to get some water, and low and behold I tripped on the 3 little stairs leading into the store and reinjured my elbow. Prepared as we were, we got the sling out of the first aid kit and Jolene found an icepack from somewhere. She developed superhuman strength the next day, having to tote around both of our luggages as we crossed the border into Costa Rica. And for all of you who have done this border crossing, you will know, its not a place to be injured. You have to walk a good 500 meters across a rickety bridge that looked like it was going to fall anytime...but we made it.
We are spending 4 days in Puerto Viejo, a little town on the carribean side of Costa Rica. There is a lot of reggae music and dreadlocks, but its a nice change and we are enjoying it very much. Today we did a 12 km bike ride to an awesome beach..giving me a full day to recover from the pain of the bike ride before having to come back. We leave here on Saturday, heading to the mountains to do zip lines ...if the arm holds up.
no need to worry, i am travelling with an excellent physical therapist, and there are plenty of drinks here to take the edge off.
the computers here are deathly slow, so thats all for now
p.s. the tans are coming along very well with all of these beach days, don't wanna make you too jealous, but its almost TOO hot.hehehe
till next time..miss ya all

Hi Miss and Jolene - glad you made it out of Panama o.k. - I am sure you had a great time - as you do everywhere. Glad Jolene is along to take care of you - you're beach time sounds great - the bike ride (?). Hope you're flight home does not include Jets Go - they just went out of business late last night - take care and look forward to your next entry - pictures are always good - ha ha - Love Auntie - Auntie Elaine
Hey gals. Glad to know that you're somewhat holding together (hopefully Jolene stays strong for you both). I'm glad that you liked Bocas, the best place ever! Enjoy Monteverde (they just had a shoot out and bank robbery a few days ago). The zip lines are lots of fun, but bring rain coats, it's wet there. Let me know if you're planning on going to Nicaragua (it's an awesome place) and I'll suggest some places to go. - Dejan
