Playa Nosara, Pelada, y Guiones, Costa Rica

Hola,

Sorry for the near week delay in contact, but i´m still adjusting to my shift from Nicaragua to Costa Rica. I made my way down South and crossed the border using the chicken bus system, which proved to be painless, cheap, and of course entertaining!

I met mi amiga, Darcie, at the Liberia airport and have been staying at an upscale 2-bed, 2-bath condo that she rented. Needless to say, i am still in culture shock. What a stark contrast to sleeping in a 8-person dorm with a shared bathroom that often times didnt work! All of the peeps i met in Nica were right about the fact that i should prepare myself for the gringo-fied Costa Rica! Despite that, i have been able to find the local bars and spots (with the help of Jackie) where i can continue to practice my spanish.

Overall, the landscape is colorful, lush, and breathtakingly beautiful! The walk along the beach from where we are sleeping down to the surf break is to die for. I´ve walked this every morning so far to surf just after dawn when the tide is low and before the heat kicks in full force. Darcie will be leaving on Sunday and then I will be sola once again. The company has been wonderful and with good timing. However, i also look forward to making my way and discovering a this place on my own too.
