Property Update

We are looking forward to meeting with our attorney on Tuesday to finalize the details on our property purchase. The conditions for our option on the property have been met and we are ready to proceed. What that means is the road to our property has been completed to Bill’s satisfaction. It was a very difficult road to travel when we were here in the rainy season and made the repair of the road a condition for our purchase. Bill is happy now. He was on the property to observe the backhoe and rock laying last week. He was very excited to take me there on Friday to see the changes.

It was a beautiful clear day on the mountain Friday. The last time I was there it was cloudy and the views were obscured. What a treat to again see what we fell in love with on our first trip. Our views are of the town of San Ramon and Palmares with ocean views to the west.

Bill had always dreamed of a house on Camelback Mountain. Friday he told me that ‘our’ views blow those of Camelback Mountain away. Life is good!

It is great to see more pictures of your property and to hear how it is progressing. I love reading all your posts and getting a sense of what life is like for you. So after you see your lawyer and finalize the sale, what is the next step? In one of your posts you mention adjusting to Callista's school as one of the things you like least. What about it is frustrating? I appreciate all the time you put into the blog which allows the rest of us to live vicariously. Much Love, Maura
