Wednesday
bubbly pool Well we're trying a different format today. We've decided to work on the blog text during the day and then upload text and photos when we get to the bar. Yesterday we awoke to a beautiful cloud free day. We had white caps in White Bay and spent the day on the beach at One Love. Lisa and I voted to go to the Bubbly Pool but were over-ruled by the guys. It was their day to drink and be laid back.. We watched all the day sailors come in mostly on catamarans. A whole lot more boats than this time last year, so that's great for the local economy.
We had cocktail hour on the porch while playing GREED...Leeenda kicked butt. We cooked dinner in...6' flamed charred chicken, salad and roasted potatoes washed down with Pinot Grigio. We had a rousing card game of “Apples to Apples”...Freddie had a come from behind win. We decided to keep a log of the winning cards to see if they provide any insight into our psyche. We look forward to playing this game at Gouveia with the Bickersons and then a home-made pasta dinner at their house...hint hint hint!!! Sayings of the day
Great view
from jVD looking towards Little JVD are: “Look there's bananas, they really grow on trees here.” “The waves are really wavy today.” “OOOOHHHHHHH...Kyle's Mom is a .......”
Today Freddie and I made the downhill trek to the beach(and back) and had a simple breakfast at Ivan's. Met some cool little kids from Vermont asking us where our kids were...they were looking for them to play with...how cute!!! Had they only known our kids have 4 legs and tails!!! We found a travel companion for Sharkie...a pink starfish with a smiley face...”have a nice day”. Have yet to decide on a name....so far its Pinky, Starry or Smiley. Suggestions are welcome. The boys modeled their new eye-wear )see the last photo posted))...these would be great for post-cataract surgery don't you think
We decided this was the day to expand our horizons beyond the one mile limit so headed to the bubbly pool. Well let me tell you...we've never been there before with au-naturale womens and mens...just a little different when they come crashing into you in the surf. Freddie was playing catch and caught the first mate...he was all smiles. We decided we're not all that abnormal when they brought out their stuffed animals and Mister
OMG
what...you're not really taking my picture are you???? Bill that travel everywhere with them. Guess we all have our own version of the traveling gnome. We had lunch at Foxy's Taboo and made reservations to take a dingy out tomorrow to Sandy Cay...that should be a whole blog in itself. I forgot all the places that the bubbly pool can deposit sand...should have asked the au-naturales if they had the same problem.
Made reservations at One Love for lobster dinner tonight Dave made pasta salad for lunch on our sail tomorrow while I worked on the blog, listening to the Beatles and James Taylor while Fred and Lisa took a snooze...not together for you just want to know folks. Just another day in a picture perfect paradise.
