this isn't going to end well
they capsized right after I took this photo Tuesday morning brought the boys back to Caye Caulker for a visit. Honestly...I think they really missed us all....or were terribly bored...turned out to be both. We met them at the water taxi dock and walked down to "Island Magic" where the girls were staying. This place is new within the past year so had a good size pool with surrounding patio, hot tub and outdoor bar. On either side of the hot tub is a small waterfall with carved turtles riding the surf. The bar blocks most of the ocean view...don't get why they did that and it doesn't open until 3 PM....what's up with that??? The girl's room had a really nice bathroom, indoor hammock, small flat screen TV, balcony and tiny kitchen with full size fridge. Fred and I agreed we like Seaside Cabanas better because of it's outdoor space. We like the greenery and more natural setting instead of all the concrete.
There were inflatable beach balls and whale in the pool. The boys were just being boys playing with all the toys and one of the hotel's guests complained about the "noise". Lyndsay heard and said "okay fine....we'll go someplace else and spend our money".

Sharkie (the ball), inflatable dolphin (bat). These Aussie boys are so retarded. So back to Seaside Cabanas we went and Israel gave the okay for the kids to hang out for the day. We gave the bartender our recipe for the new concotion we came up with...The Debriefer". It's the male version of the Panty Ripper made possible with the addition of banana liquer. Try it and let me know how it works for you.
We hung around the pool until 2 PM...time to go to the pig roast buffet at Popeye's. Fred...the surrogate Dad...bought the food for everyone while the kids bought the beers. We had our own personal boat to dine it and the pork was sooo goood! Back poolside things started to heat up between you know who and you know who...names withheld to protect the not-so-innocent. We sat up on our cabana roof and Fred taught them the game of "Greed" but never got the finish the game...Dani was in the lead...because the guys had to get the water taxi back to San Pedro.
We had dinner at Caye Caulker Pizza with Dani and Lynsday who were having way too much fun after just two cocktails from the Island Magic bar. We followed local tradition and

carved wooden turtle in pool at Island Magic on Caye Caulker, Belize wrote on the restuarant's ceiling...wonder how long it will be before they repaint? Fred and Lynsday took the scenic route...which way do we go???? to the bank to get money...the pizza place took cash only. The girls had more gift shopping to do so we headed back to the hotel and made plans to meet tomorrow at 8:30 AM.
Wednesday morning we said our sad goodbyes to the girls...one of whom wasn't feeling so great and was craving her favorite Subway sandwich to cure her hangover. They gave us their addresses and I promised to send them the link to this blog. So glad we got to spend vacation time together and we miss them. Fred and I are back to being empty nesters.
We walked down to the split and spent the afternoon there. The water was crystal clear today and I regretted not bringing my mask and snorkel. Dinner was lobster burgers at the Sports Bar...bad choice....the ones we had at the Rainbow Grill were so much better. We're already dreading packing up on Saturday....that is if we're still alive after our cave tubing and zip line adventure on Friday. We played trivia with "the hillbillies"....were
in 2nd place at the end of round 1 but it was all down hill after that.

Din
Hey guys, Din spent the night in the clinic and then sent to the OR at middlesex for a hernia operation at 0430 hours via hunters. I brought mom home to get a couple hours sleep till she got the call that he was out of surgery. Mom got called at 0630 to say he was ready to come home. no surgery, they were able to push it back in. it's the hernia he had operated on 6 years ago that they put the mesh in. are you ready for this?! he was reaching for his remote in bed. he's doing better now, the morphine was a big help. just a heads up incase someone said something to you. no need to call.
