Taking a cruise is not the way I normally travel, backpacking and couchsurfing, however, a cruise is something that Chris has done many times and really enjoys. I've never done it before, and we wanted to see how I like it.
When we first got on the ship, I was overwhelmed by everything I was seeing and hearing, and REALLY uncomfortable by the luxury - I'm just not used to it! We were on our way, though, and I know that Chris was really excited to be able to show me something new.
The first stop was an island in the Bahamas, on a little section the cruise line owned. Because we were already paying the cruise line a lot of money, we didn't want to give them more by renting jet skis or something, and instead rented a clamshell (a bit tent, basically) and read. I was very peaceful, but I didn't like my book options, so that sucked. I explored a bit of the beach, and played in the ocean with Chris.
Later in the afternoon, I sat in the ocean with a coconut rum drink. I was sitting on a rock, so the water was over my legs and lapped up my stomach every so often. Every now and then, it threatened to splash up high enough to get into my coconut rum, and I had to remain vigilant to ensure that didn't happen. After about 15 minutes of doing this this, I realized that - in that moment, my greatest concern was keeping the ocean water out of my cocnut rum, and I realized that I was relaxed. Good moment, that.

This is the moment that I realized I was relaxed - keeping the salty ocean water out of my coconut rum.
