Hi, Everyone!!
I hope this email finds everyone well.
So, I'm currently still in the Bahamas finishing up my last semester of the "general sciences." I'm currently in the second half of my second year. This semester has been the best semester of all - we're doing physical exams and going into the hospital more and more. This is my last semester here in the Bahamas, and then it should be off to Miami in September. I cannot WAIT to move back to the states. The Bahamas have been nice, but I'm ready to leave this island life.
Included you'll see a link with some new pics. Some of these pics are from the Bahamas, some from my and Tom's trip home over break, and then another album from our Dolphin Dive yesterday.
Break - wow was that busy! First, Tom and I started by taking a little trip to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and the FL Keys. We rented a convertible blue Sebring and just cruised on down to the Keys. It was a great trip and South Beach was AMAZING - I would love to live there! After FL, it was off to Boston where we stayed with my parents. This was Tom's first trip to Boston, so we spent time in NH, MA, NY, and CT. We were busy every day driving around and seeing things like the Cape, NYC, Boston, the Sam Adams Brewery, Battleship Cove, and a few others. All too soon, it was time to return to the Bahamas for another semester.
Yesterday, Tom and I went on a dolphin dive, which was a lot of fun. Basically, trainers bring dolphins out into the ocean and then the dolphins do tricks with you like let you pet them, twirl you in a circle, and kiss you - all under water. Then you just kind of scuba around and the dolphins swim between and amongst everyone. I never really realized how BIG dolphins are until I was actually in their habitat. The dolphins (2) were very gentle and pretty much as long as they were being fed, would do whatever they were told by the trainers.
I still have yet to see a wild shark. Today, I'm doing a dive with Tom, my friend Dana from school, and her boyfriend. The chances of seeing a shark today are much increased, as there won't be any dolphins around. :( I hope we all come back in one piece!!
I hope you all enjoy the pictures! I'll write again with more stories and pics!!
Miss you!
Love,
Brooke
