I also went to a pool party and nearly lost my bikini to a hungry pony. Yes a pony. Yes my bikini. No I wasn't drunk. I had to spend about an hour

So. Iceland is crap. Now is a good time to come though since the krona is at an alltime low What that means for us on the skerry is higher prices the US dollar is now at around 80 krona a few weeks ago it was around 60 so that's 30 right there. The euro is at 125 bfore it was around 90. Over 30 there. What this means for me is a huge fucking increase in travel costs this summer unless

I just bought a ticket...and thus altered my original plan. I will now gasp skip Roskilde Festival. That's right for the first time in six years I will miss Roskilde. I won't be going to Denmark at all. Instead in the interest of saving money and time I will fly directly to Berlin. I plan on hanging around eastern Germany for a bit seeing the important Holocaustrelated sights jumping to G

Yes it's that time of year again. The shortest day of the year is behind me 4 hours of sunlight thankyouverymuch and before me I can feel better days. Days of working my ass off I have a job now. Innit great planning scrimping and complaining about the costof everything. And after all that in a mere 180 days travelling Since last summer's little...excursion...didn't quite go as plann

I have a crush.I was struggling with myself the whole last day trying to find a loophole any excuse to stay. Secretly hoping the flight would be overbooked there would be a terrible storm they'd detain me. Anything. I stood in line for an hour and a half surreptitiously glancing at the Icelandair ticket office knowing that even if I did walk over there even if I could cancel the ticket the

Amsterdam. The city. Only it doesn't feel like a city. Or rather it feels like a city in the same sense that Reykjavk feels like a city. It feels like a small town that somebody has forced into being a city. A smalltowcumcity in every respect the narrow streets the relaxed atmosphere the notquitesmalltownmentality. I've never gone further than Hamburg on my own so I don't know if I'm nervous or excited. My mood changes every five minutes or so so I'm either really looking forward to going on my own or literally wetting myself at the very thought. I've been reading s

This one is mainly to see if I can get pictures up here. From reading the blogs it seems that most people spend a few days trying to figure it out so it's time to see if they're dummies or if it's a system thing. Here goes nothingYay it worked So either the people are dummies or the computers in the rest of Europe are crap. I suspect the latter since this seemed simple enough.
