Friday January 18, 2008 - Tuesday January 22, 2008 Our final stop for our New Year vacation was Bangkok, Thailand. Based on past vacation destinations, I think we were both a bit skeptical on how we would enjoy Bangkok. Chiang Mai was one of those locations that we constantly waivered on. Sunday January 6, 2008 - Monday January 7, 2008 Our visit to Kuala Lumpur was a quick one. It was basically a lengthy layover on our way to Siem Reap, Cambodia. We were scheduled to arrive in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday at 3:00pm, and depart Monday at 7:00am. Not a lot of time to see the city, but just enough to create a lasting impression. January 1, 2008 - January 6, 2008 Welcome to the world of jet lag! We kicked off our Southeast Asia vacation with 36 hours of travel before reaching our hotel in Penang. Like nothing I’ve ever experienced. 2 hours at Dulles airport. 14 hours onboard Korean Air flight to Seoul. 4 hours in Seoul airport. 6 hours onboard Korean Air flight to Bangkok. 7 hours in Bangkok airport. 2 hours onboard Air Asia flight to Penang. 1 hour bus ride to our hotel in Batu Feringgi, Penang. In the early innings of the Anderson male bonding summer vacation, United Airlines shutout team Anderson before things could even get started. August 22, 2006 - August 27, 2006 Our arrival to Copenhagen did not go over quite as smoothly as we had hoped. Once we arrived at the central train station, we headed to the tourist information center. Since we weren’t sure when we would leave Stockholm, we only had a hotel booked ahead of time for Thursday through Sunday. This meant that we’d have to find a hotel for Tuesday and Wednesday if we planned to stay in Copenhagen for the remainder of our vacation.
