Yeah a friend from home Caitlyn is here and it's great. We have had lots of fun and very full days. Yesterday it was Trafalgar square, the west end, oxford circus, covent garden and Notting Hill where we went everywhere looking for a blue door to have our photo in front of and hoping Hugh Grant might come out. We walked along Portabello Market then went back to our hostel for dinner and a lot of laughs with fellow roomates. Up early this morning to catch the changing of the guards. It was great in the midst of all the pomp and ceremony the brass band in the palace yard started playing a beatles medley. Cool! After wards wandered past Downing St, The hopuse of parliament and Westminster Abbey, then went on to the London Eye ... read more

I'm back it was brilliant, Here is the full lowdown of the hoedown in Paris Arrived Monday morning about nine o'clock, had to catch a bus into the city from the airport. I settled in to my hostel and met a neighbour from Columbia, he asked me if I like to party, I was a bit scared about what that entailed for a Columbian! Headed off to my first trip, the eiffel tower. My hostel was only a ten minute walk away. I had been in Paris two hours and it was just like the film French Kiss where you are looking for it everywhere and not seeing it then all of a sudden your in a quiet street, you look up and there it is magic! But not for long it disappears behind tall buildings, ... read more

Today Uncle John, Aunt May and Aunt Elaine took me for a gorgeous scenic drive through real snowy mountains, I have never seen anything like it before, amazing. Snow covered mountains surrounded me. We wound through the hills till we got to Glencoe, an amazing site surrounded by sprawling hills and rich in wildlife. It was also the sight of a massacre centuries ago. Ever since I got to Scotland I have wanted to go there and it was absolutely stunning. I have never seen mountains like that and snow like that, just gorgeous. We went into the visitor info centre that had all the geological information about how it formed, Afterwards we drove in to Glencoe Village to look at the monument to the massacre, on the way we drove past this little girl who ... read more

On saturday the 30th I travelled to Edinburgh for the famous Hogmanay (Scottish new years.) Edinburgh is an absolutely gorgeous and it was 'heaving' (scottish term I have learnt with tourists for the hogmanay festival and mostly Australians, I heard Aussie accents everywhere! In my hostel room there were four other Australians. The city is beautiful and not what I expected, the castle is on an enormous rocky hill right in the centre of the city. all along Prencess Street gardens there was a Christmas Market and fair rides, One of the rides was swinging so close to a building that I was sure there was going to be disaster. Saturday night was the night afore international, starting in the park all the revelers marched behind a pipe band to george square where there were brilliant ... read more
