Every series has one episode that reveals important information about a character's past in order to further character development and explain the character's overall emotional state up until that shocking revalation. These are usually thrown in right before critical plot action to build tension and contribute to the complexity of the story. Get ready for another unexpected plot twist as Ted reveals more of his tragic back story. BCG was my last girlfriend before Rie. I’m not sure if that’s what she’d call herself and we certainly didn’t use those titles t [View Full Entry]

“Soubetsukai”-it means farewell party. The last two weeks had been filled with them. It was about 10:30 on Thursday, August 4th. I got off the train at Hino station and returned to my recent habit of stressing the time I had left and what I was going to do with it. I went over my checklist, the list of things I wanted to see and do during this year’s trip. * Break out season: top my hits record, RBIs and Home Runs …Done. *Masami …X *Shou, Kakeru, Kimu and the basketball guys …Done. *NakaNaka and Yasu …Done *Rock Climbing &he [View Full Entry]

After fireworks we trained and drove to get back to the Nagai residence in sleepy Yoshii. KVP’s one beer had made her somewhat anti-social and I sat at the dinner table and was called upon to explain myself by the curious family of Shiori N. This is a story that always transpires over several drinks. I tell the story of how I came to love Japan and all the girls walking around all over it and they language they speak, each time slightly altering the facts of true history as to make it better, more entertaining, more meaningful. People who know [View Full Entry]

I was somehow still breathing the next morning and my head hurt only where I had hit it. With unusual energy I got out of bed and hit the showers and thought about the week ahead of me. I wasted time all day at work adding to my repertoire of random knowledge on a certain website that I find embarrassing to use. Shiori N and Kim called me from somewhere in Shinjuku while I was out getting a soda. They were in town wondering what I was doing that nigh, I said baseball and invited them along. After some trouble getting [View Full Entry]

Monday (the 30th). I rescheduled my receptionist dinner twice finding Friday open, reassigned my baseball date with Ms. Junko. Miss Takahashi had to work late. I ate dinner at Naka Naka. No Haruka. No Moe. No—whatever the other one’s name was. No sketchy dudes. Just me. I went home and watch Anime and got to bed early …10 Tuesday. Miss Takahashi was going to meet her friend in Tachikawa, so she couldn’t go out to dinner with me that night. Then she asked me if I’d like to go to the beer garden on Mt. Takao just the two of us [View Full Entry]

Receptionist Dinner Party1
Youko-o-nee!!

Even though Ted promised he wouldn’t he decided to hold a press conference and write another article in that annoying third-person format regarding last weekend’s losing streak and the upcoming playoff games. Last week his boss(es) scheduled his company goodbye party for Friday August 3rd, forcing him to cancel a (literal) baseball date with Ms. Junko Yamazaki, and possibly pitting him earlier than expected against 26 year old right hander, Yumiko Takahashi. On Monday (July 31st) he received notice that the date for that game had been changed to Wednesday August 1st, the d [View Full Entry]

I lost all of this year's entries in the server crash. I never trust the internet however and, luckily made backup copies of everything I had published. I did lose two saved entries though. That will probably further set my "story timeline" a few days off the "actual timeline" so you won't know how it ends until about a week and some. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll re-uplod the lost pictures after I get back home and get a hardwire connection. In the meantime I'll continue re-uploading all my old shit. Later. Teddy [View Full Entry]

Living in a country where you’re still learning the culture and the language means you will spend your days in more or less constant misunderstandings. Some of these are harmless, cute, comical. Others can be troublesome, embarrassing, even life threatening. And almost all of the worlds problems are explainable as having been caused by persons believing they have an understanding or knowledge of something they in fact do not. After the signing ceremony, and leaving Gendawg with Minami and her two outfielders I called up tried calling up Ms. Junko again to see if she was still in down [View Full Entry]

With a large plastic bat sticking out of my bag and bellies full of gyoza, chicken wings and beer Gen and I approached the fishing hole with the ostensibly innocent intentions. ‘What did you think of the fireworks?’ ‘We’re from America, we don’t know much about Japan.’ ‘What’s your name love? tell me where you came from.’ ‘Yukatas are soooo pretty, we don’t have those back home.’ ‘Hey would any of you be interested in a drink? After all, we won’t be able to use the trains for at least an hour.’ Y [View Full Entry]

I woke up on Saturday afternoon (the 28th) and went to Freshness Burger, because nothing is better for a hangover than a tall smoothie and greasy fast food. I was emailing Ms. Mika and Ms. Junko to see if I could get them to come out and sit with me and Gen for the fireworks show in Tachikawa. So far it looked like Mika was good and she was bringing her friends (score!) but Junko was uncertain and finally said she’d have to ask her boyfriend if he wanted to go sit with us…Sh*t. Well there goes one more girl off [View Full Entry]
