Hello alll we are now in dubai with the mcinerneys after a couple of days in rome. Rome was very interesting and thankfully not that busy. We had been warned about the long lines to get in to places like the colosseum but we basically walked straight in. It's a truly amazing building especially when you try to visualise it in its complete state with 50000 screaming fans. its about the size of subi oval but apparently could be filled or emptied in less than 15 minutes. big day out at disneyland - Lizzie has been SOOOOO excited about it for days. i was expecting crowds and queues but we basically walked straight in. still a bit of queueing for the rides but never more than 20 minutes. Paris really lights up when its wet - these photos were taken on my phone, in the st michel district of the latin quarter. it had been a lovely day so we were surprised to hear the rain from inside the cafe. we went to have waffles for dessert hoping it would stop but the rain just got heavier. so it was cheap umbrellas from the ubiquitous souvenir shops and we had a romantic walk home in the rain. even the kids didnt grumble too much....(did i say romantic?) last night we went to the Eiffel Tower it was amazing . . U when we got there we had to wait in a long Q it took over 20 minuites just to get the tickets then we got on the lift it took us to the 2nd floor then we changed to another lift to the top at the top it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we could see the light going around the tower for planes and stuff so they didn't crash or get lost we took so many photos at the top it was really windy so as you would [View Full Entry]

yesterday we left lonon to go to paris we nearly missed the train but luckily it was fine when we got to paris we got on a train (with some trouble along the way with the french aspect) when we got t our flat the lady that owns it showed us everything we needed to know about then we went for a walk around the town and it was really cool this morning me and dad went down the road to the patissere to get a baguet now we are going to the fruit and veg market i am missing every [View Full Entry]

hello all we've had a wonderful time in london. our flat in hammersmith has been very comfortable and convenient. only a 5 minute walk to the tube and max 30 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. and we have been to so many places. the natural history museum, the victoria and albert museum, the maritime museum in greenwich, the theatre in the west end, buckingham palace, the tower of london, the royal pavilion in brighton, st james 's park, hyde park, regents park, little venice, camden lock and markets and you wonder why theres no time to blog??? i dont [View Full Entry]
