| 13th November 2006 Kari Kay | - From: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland: Scandinavia in 7 Days—It can be done! (Although, if you have the time and the money, Scandinavia is worthy of a longer stay.) Hei! Scandinavia is close to my heart, so I am glad you enjoyed Norway and Finland! I am surprised that you were not so happy in Turku. On a sunny day, it's great to hire a bike and just peddle round the town in your own time. There is quite alot going on near the river during the summer months. One more thing, very important! Aurland is a small part of the much bigger Sognefjord! Spending so much time there, it is important that you get the name right! Otherwise, glad you enjoyed you time there and you have some great photos! |
| 13th November 2006 Deanna | Aunt - From: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland: Scandinavia in 7 Days—It can be done! What are the odds. Good luck on your travels. |

| 29th December 2005 Mary Wright (Mom) | A Day Between Christmas and New Years - From: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas Hi! Miss you much! I think I'll send you a care package of chocolates since you are probably going through withdrawals. I'll also send a photo disk of holiday photos, which aren't nearly as neat as these here on the Blog. But they are a little glimpse back to Spokane - and another non-white Christmas. Sigh! And it looked sooo good a week before. Happy New Year! |
| 28th December 2005 Patrick | - From: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas Hey guys, it sounds like you had quite a holiday! We definately missed you here, but were very pleased to hear your holiday was so good. Crystal, Mary, and I took the Dunaway kids on Friday while Matt & Stacy were working to kick off the holiday's. We all went to see Narnia, which was good and long. After about 3 hours & a gallon of Sprite I was ready for it to end. We did have dreams of an outside activity in the snow, but the pouring rain took care of that and turned events indoors. We then headed North to Bonners to spend time with my parents, my brother, and his family, which was very fun. It was so fun to see the kids rip into the presents and send the wrapping paper flying! I'm already sick of winter. We had a deep freeze which lasted about 3 weeks and each day warmed up to about 20 degrees. Brrr! Now it's raining, sloppy, and muddy, but we are supposed to get some more snow soon. I am already thinking about our annual rock climbing trip to the desert, and this year we are looking into possible alternatives to Red Rocks, which may take us to Moab. However, if we do go to Vegas again we will catch Avenue Q. On Jan 7th Mary, Larry, Crystal, and I are all headed to the Opera House to see Mamma Mia and a fun filled night of Abba. Sweet! Anyway... Love the travel blog updates, which sort of satisfy my voyeristic needs, so thanks for that. See ya! -p |
