Lucky to have been there Lucky indeed. El Chaltern with its Fitzroy peaks is truly one of the most beautiful places in the World...in my humble opinion. Great pic...good reason to smile.
Nice Great article chief, and thanks for the mention! I thought the trek was brilliant, and as a pole user (ha!) had to laugh at your Preying Mantis bit. I was definitely one of the cliche trekkers. Hope the travels are going well.
awesome! I love these updates mate! The mind really does boggle at the immensity of the place. You're very fortunate to have been down there. I have a bit of a family history with the place that I will fill you in on next time we meet. Safe travels!
Your trip so far This is an incredible part of your journey around the globe! Matt, the intrepid photojournalist, hunting out stories where the ordinary Jo wouldn't think to look! Wonderful graphic writing, I feel like I'm there...minus the frostbite!
wow Hi! Sounds amazing! Love weeping wall; pics look sick! Funny the Canadian grilling session, she must have thought you were mueling lol.
Hope you're having a great time, I'm totes jelz.
Hiking Poles Know exactly what you were talking about with people using walking poles, when we did the walk in Spain they were everywhere, and the same couldn't work out why!!! on paved areas, (they will tell you it keeps the rythm) The best was one very wet & very muddy day walking behind a lady using 2 poles and still managed to fall in the mud, giggling to ourselves we asked if she needed a hand (or 2)!!!!!! love all the photos and comments, glad you are having a WOW time.
Brilliant! Hi Matt
I'm Jamie's Mum - I really enjoy your commentary and humor. Great to see what you both are up to, and I see Jamie's sense of adventure has not diminished with time. Your photography is excellent, the one capturing Jamie in mid-air is spectacular. Love the wildlife, esp the Blue Jays! Thanks for sharing...enjoy the rest of your time, can't wait to hear the stories from J in real-time
Amazing maths skills So I know you've been a man of leisure of late, but there is no need to forget your basic maths skills. You were 150m above our highest mountain, not 50. That's like almost half of the Eiffel Tower!
WOW; it is everything l have seen on all the cowboy movies all these years, sounds like my sort of trip, will have to keep it in mind. Look forward to the next installment.
I'm loving the write ups Matt, his last one was a good balance of great pics, good humor and interesting facts. I had no idea u could write so well! Keep it coming mate, its the next best thing to being there with u both!
The Joe Kleine Cordon Bleu? Apparently not many people want it, it is very undercooked, has lots of fat, but goes well as a chick'n roll (pick 'n roll).
