hi everybody hope alls well back at home, were currently having a whale of a time. we actually did something worth writing about today, we went to a monkey shrine/temple and they were running about all pver the place! we baught bananas and the cheeky things snatched them out of nicks pocket, nearly pulling his trousers down in the process (it was a good job it was nealr as he was commando!) i had a mum and tiny baby sit on my knee for ages, must be my maternal nature! ha ha. then we went to and elephant cave, not real 1s, its a stone carving inside a cave and no-one has any idea how long it [View Full Entry]

hi all well we arrived in lombok 24 hrs after we originally planned as we are lazy, but it did take eight hrs so we had to prepare. not a bad journey though we got to see a bit of bali as we drove through u bud (the cultural capital ) basically painting shops and sculptures ,everywhere it was cool though . then onto our 5 hr slow boat journey from pandang bai to lambar harbour in lombok ,then a taxi to sengigi which took about an hour . managed to find digs easy for around eight pound including breakfast and [View Full Entry]

we are still here and yes have had a few more drunken nights, haven't actually seen anything apart from the insieds of bars upto now. everybody is so friendly it would be rude not to have a beer with them! we are gonna make our way to the next island Lombok tomorrow which is a 2hr bus ride follwed by a 5 hr boat ride followed by another 2 hr bus journey! all for 10 quid. we could have done it quicker but for triple the price and hence we have decided to become proper backpackers( by this i mean tight [View Full Entry]

hi all we made in 1 piece (just!) flight was long with lots of food. got straight here and went out on the raz seen as it was my bday. digs are basic but we are hardcore backpackers now, we dont need air con or a sink or a door that is bigger then 4 foot (funny will put pics on soon) found a cool bar with live music and buckets! my life is complete ( for those who have never been to asia a bucket is litterelly a bucket full of booze, ice and some really good redbull) partied the [View Full Entry]
