Alright, well... it's been a week since I've arrived in Brunei. Today's the 22nd of June, and there's much to tell. Unfortunately, my 1 GB memory card that held 200+ photos gave out on me and I've had quite a few dreams since then of giving Visions a piece of my mind. I visited my cousins for a couple days before heading out on a Temburong tour, the most eastern district (or state?) of Brunei ($140 BD/person for permanent residents and citizens - otherwise, $240 BD/person for foreigners). After 23 sleepless hours of flights and stopovers, at 23:45 PM, I've finally arrived in Singapore. As the plane touched down at Changi Airport, an almost-tangible wave of nostalgia hit me. Suppressing it was no easy feat; when I took the first few steps outside the airport, I was amazed at the incredible amount of foliage and vegetation. Moreso, I was even more frightened by the prospect that I had forgotten that such breathtakingly beautiful sceneries exist in this world. On Monday, June 13th, I will be heading out from Calgary for a two-month excursion to SE Asia (Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos), Australia, and Fiji. This will involve at least 14 different flights.
