ZED and Cirque in Tokyo

So now for the real reason I went to Tokyo Cirque du Soleil and their new show ZED being held at Disney Resort. I am not sure when this was but many months ago I was searching Yahoo Groups and I found this one called CirqueCon www.cirquecon.com. When I joined I really thought it was just a group of friends that were big Cirque fans but I decided what the heck and applied for membership.

I have been back a week but I have not slowed down a minute since landing so I decided I had better take some time this weekend and post my travel blog about Tokyo. In one sentence I must say it was one of the cleanest city with these nicest people Wow it was a great trip. I started from Moscow and headed to Frankfurt. When I first started planning my trip Aeroflot did not run nonstop fli

We had frost a few mornings but no snow but that did not stop us from going downhill skiing on Friday Yes there is an INDOOR downhill ski rink here in Moscow www.snej.com Russian only. Freddie recommended we try it out and we had tried once before but never made it so yesterday Friday we took a half day from work and headed to Moscow. We made a few stops along the way but go to the rink

I told you it would be a little while before I did any traveling. That does not mean I am sitting at home bored to death but I just have not been hopping around the world here lately. Last weekend Freddie hosted a house warming party at his new flat. He has been working on it for some time but finally had it finished enough to invite everyone over for his first official party. I think I ha

I know I said it would probably be a little while before my next entry but I just have to tell this story...and for those friends here in Obninsk that know Inna and Vladimir please keep this among us. thanksOn Sunday it was a perfect day here in Obninsk. I think it was lower 80rsquos and partly overcast so some new friends I have met Vladimir and his girlfriend Inna invited Leo Freddi

I know I have not been on for awhile so I thought I would give everyone a quick update. First I hate to say this but I think I came down with food poisoning. That was about four or five weeks ago but I am just now getting my system back to normal. It was so bad I went to the European Clinic in Moscow twice. The first time the medication did not do any good and it was on week two so I wen

I thought I would go ahead and start this posting while I had some time this morning. It was so nice to sleep in and that was after going to bed at 5 PM I originally was just going to lay down for a nap but when the alarm went off at 6 PM I just turned if off and went back to sleep. I did get up for a few hours around 9 PM but then was back to sleep around 11 PM and slept all night which I

I started this blog over 15 days ago and as you can see you are not just receiving it. I do not know where all of my time and energy goes but I never seem to slow down until I completely wear myself down andor get sick. And yes I got sick this week. I think it was food poisoning but it started on Wednesday and Thursday was terrible. It was not uncontrollable but I was in the restroom a

It has been over two weeks and I have just sorted my pictures from the cruise. As I shared with everyone here the value was not there but just a week of RR was well worth it I really was quite boring on the cruise but I did exactly what I wanted when I wanted including taking naps and sleeping in. The best part rolling over around 9 AM calling room service to bring me a pot of coffee an

I most of us have heard the old saying from our parents about having to walk miles to school in the snow and uphill BOTH ways well that was sort of my story today but Freddie and I rode from Obninsk to Borovsk 44 km uphill into the wind both ways No just kidding but we did have a good day trip by bike to Borovsk a small town north of Obninsk. I went there before with Freddie Leo

It was supposedly the largest packaging show in the world I am not sure it was that big but it was big The bad part was a lot did not relate to the foodmeat industry.
Trip to Venice

It has only been a week since I returned and you would think I could get something posted before now. I did download the pictures earlier in the week but never got the text typed. I did not have the best weather but overall it was a very good weekend. I would have to agree with those that say you can do Venice in a long weekend. It is not a place I would want to go for more than a few days

For about a month now my eyes have been bothering me. I am getting a lot more build up in my right eye all day long and particularly in the mornings as well as cloudiness in my right eye and headaches in the evenings. I was trying to wait until I came home but it is really starting to bother me so I decided to see a doctor. I asked around and everyone said there were some in Obninsk but could

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything but not too much exciting going on here. It is finally spring and like most of you we go from snow to rain to fog and everything in between but I must say the past week or so it has been very nice with sunshine and temperatures reaching the lower 50's. I headed out Thursday early from work to visit Prague. I was hoping to get there before sunset but did not make it. It did not matter as I still love this city no matter what season or time of the day. I landed right on time and my taxi that I scheduled wa
