Chimps
Hello, just wanted to say thank you for the words about the chimps. I just published a book, for elementary and middle school ages, adults love it too about the chimps at chimp eden. Joao tells his story along with Cozy and a few more. Half of all the profits I get go to Chimp Eden/Jane Goodall Institute of South Africa. It is called, "My Sanctuary, A Place I Call Home". Chimp Eden
I spent two weeks with the chimps and staff at the sanctuary and they are truly amazing animals. I, too, saw people laughing on the tours at some of the stories of their backgrounds. I was very happy to see that you were as disgusted as I was about that. Unfortunately, some people don't realize that dressing up a chimp or giving them alcohol and cigarettes is abusive. I just wanted to let you know that posted your comments to my facebook page for my chimp friends to see as it was a great post!

Kata town but we stayed on Karon beach, a place called Ra Theum Inn which was right on the beach. Good quality and relatively inexpensive, around 700 baht per night. We're in low season so it was quieter than usual although the sea can be a bit rough. Enjoy !
