Lake Nakuru Day 6 So we left really early like usual and it’s really hard to see in the dark when you’re trying to break down the tents. That morning we found a cheetah on the side of the road looking at the Impalas/bambi across the way. After we let all the other vans get ahead of us we spotted a pack of 6 cheetahs looking for breakfast. We must have sat there for like 10 minutes waiting for them to eat and the kept inching closer but nothing happened. And our driver said that it could take all morning and we needed to get going. Our next destination was Lake Nakuru and we still had a long drive ahead. So I know this will sound stupid to some of you but it was very ... read more

Day 4 (continued) Samburu It was back on the road again this time to check out the Samburu people. I don’t remember being told that it would cost us $20 to see the Samburu sing and dance. I thought it was shitty that we had to pay to visit a village, but these people live so remote how else are they gonna make money. Mind you my ass was traveling broke, and the only money I had on me was to buy me beers and snacks along the way. Later we were told that there reserve, or the zoo that they live in is owned by the government. And when we pay the park entrance fee it goes to fixing the roads and setting up a main street. So the tribe doesn’t really get a ... read more

CAPE TOWN Well after leaving Buenos Aires behind and trying to figure out how to fit my fucken Inca Trail walking stick, Stephen lets just say that your wish about me getting rid of it came true. When I arrived to South Africa 8 hours later the airport said that the stick was carrying some kind of bacteria and other nonsense and they took and shred it. It was a bit heart breaking because I was hoping to make it home with it, but I guess it’s for the best since I didn’t have a purpose for it anymore. Plus I couldn’t fit the stick anywhere. So after a 2 hour wait at the airport the hostel never showed up to pick me up like they said they would so I had to catch a shuttle. ... read more

Ok, before I continue with this story; I have added a shit load of new people to this blog and I feel it’s only fair to explain about Veronica at this point. For those who already know the full version and its origins I will be brief. Veronica is just an alter ego; she comes alive when I travel. Let’s just say I embody that free spirit when I’m on the road, so all the nonsense you here about, the crazy shit, excess drinking, dangerous activities, and just plain retardedness is all Veronica. It’s not shit I would normally do back home, well maybe some of it. So I say lets blame this all on Veronica, I didn’t do it. After having left the group back in Cuzco after the Inca Trail I was still in ... read more

So I arrived to BA tired as fuck sometime around 3am. Once I was at the airport I had to pull out my Lonely Planets guide; South America on a shoestring (which by the way Stephen I hope you still have it) and started calling a bunch of hostels until I found a place to sleep for the night. After spending something like $15 on a cab I was pretty fucken broke. I remember getting to the hostel and thanking god that they had an elevator up to the 6th floor cuz I dont think my legs wouldve made it. I was still feeling the effects of the trail and that would last about another week. So I remember saying to the guy I can only pay you for 2 nights, is there a way we ... read more

Just so you know this has been the hardest blog to write and 2 months later I had to finish it. So I apologize for the delay. This was by far one of the most physically demanding challenges Ive ever had to do in my life, and for that reason I recommend doing the Inca trail atleast once in your life. So as my last blog stated I did get into to Cuzco sick ass fuck, and I was so glad when GAP was waiting for me at the airport cuz I wasnt in the mood to bargain with taxi drivers. After arriving to my hostel that looked more like a hotel they greeted me with tea. Ofcourse grandma Grimm was right about them giving you coca tea when you first get there for altitude sickness. ... read more

Just want to thank you all for your patience, I´ve gotten emails from folks wondering if I was still alive. And then I get those emails from peps who want to proof read my stories before I send them out. Well I´m not writing a novel here, I´m simply letting you all know that I´m still alive and kicking, so who gives a shit about grammar. Fact: Quito is the capital of Ecuador but has the second largest population to Guayaquil. On my last day in Quito, I decided to take a trip up to Mitad Del Mundo (Middle Earth). Ofcourse the hostel I was staying at wasnt much help and like a tourist I had to go to the info center in the red light district. After a mile walk I took a metro bus ... read more

So all this uploading took me almost 5 hours, best believe my ass is sore but I had to keep you guys up to date with this shit. So I got to Quito yesterday, I´m finally in South America and moving quick. I´ll spending xmas and new years here ofcourse. Well the first thing I did when I first got here was call my mom and Dan to let them know I was ok. I´ve been dizzy and shit from the altitude sickness which should wear off by tomorrow, it usually takes 2 days. Its also really cold here, and its weird cuz I just came from a hot ass Panama. Fact: Quito celebrates the founding of their city the first week of december. A week long party. I got here on the very last day ... read more

So I finally got to Panama city after a few hours of waiting around. My days here in Panama are numbered for I´m only allowed 2 days as a stop over before getting to Quito, Ecuador. Now Panama is just as expensive as Costa Rica if your on a budget. In some places if there no kitchen my budget for food is $3 a day which means street vendors is what I´m resorting too, cuz my ass is broke. Fact: I learned this on my 2nd day you can spend up to 30 days in jail for not wearing a t-shirt and drinking in public. That sucks cuz Panama is sooo hot, it retarded. My first impression of Panama city was that it looked like new york because of the sky scrapers and vegas because there ... read more
