well it was a crazy weekend indeed with Sally and Sayhankors family all arriving on the friday the 14th. i've already mentioned our notorious salsa night out and the following day Sal and I had some girlfriend time at the Bienale. we went to see what was going on at the art gallery of NSW. there were alot of no touching signs around and since disobendient is my middle name I had to touch everything. i think I use up all up obedience dancing tango, which requires complete unwaving feminine submission to the male lead.....do I hear anyone getting interested now? Of course many exquisite forms of subversion have blossomed under dictatorships and I guess that why it's such a cool dance to do....but I digress. the two phots here are of be being a "bitch" ... read more

Ok I just need to get this out of my system first.....I am a dance maniac and I have to dance my head off every weekend when I come up to Sydney. Some recent dance events that I have been to was the Tres Mambo night at HQ on Parramatta Rd Camperdown every second Monday. Tres Mambo bring together budding salsa musicians and give them a place to practice and eventually perform at a venue like this.....and where there is Salsa Music there will be salsa dancers, so there I was. I was a great night and the style was mainly Cuban which suits me down to the ground. there was also a large Rueda crowd in attendance which meant we could get a couple of cirles going - if you don't know what I'm talking ... read more

I don't want to go home.....I don't want to go home.....I don't want to go home..... Nope doesn't seem to work. well nothing to do but unpack and save up for the next trip!!!!!!! the trip to India was wonderful but oh so short for such a rich and ancient country. My tablas have arrived and I am sad to say that they are a little worse for the trip. the little tabla is totally out of tune and the big one has a ding in it. I found my beautiful box which I padlocked and then cocooned in calico with lovely red seals was completely busted opened by customs (I think) and then roughly repacked. so there goes my 8,800 rupees of shipping! which is more than I spent in total in varanasi for accomodation ... read more

Last night a dreamt I woke in the middle of the nightand went to the garden. the garden was dark and I could only make out grey shapes of plants and some thingsmoving amongst them. Slowly I began to notice tigers asleep in the garden....many tigers asleep ad some with cubs. and then there were lions too. I found my mother asleep mongst them all as I stepped over their fury bodies to cross the garden. Either they were giant lions and tigers or I had shrunk to the size of a fiveyear old child. as their bodies weredifficult to traverse. I watched their big chests rise and fall as my feet searched a small space between groin and belly to step. Perhaps I was sleep walking in my dream and if I was I was ... read more
