What a Wonderful Life
Hi Tyler, I am so happy for you! Seeing those pictures made me laugh and then cry! It was so great to see your smiling face! I know that you feel very lucky to have those kids in your life, but I hope you also know how lucky they are to have you. I am sure you are a wonderful teacher. All My Love, @my

Enjoy your adventures
Ty - it is great to hear from you periodically and I really appreciate being on your distribution list. I just finished the Labor Day weekend and played in the Calcutta Volleyball tournament with Ron McElhany and a two others. We could have used you! Brian Lewis (ex-AVP player) played with three scrubs and still schooled all other teams. Getting ready to head to the River with Al LeGaye in a few weeks. Back to school for my kids in two days. Hailey is a junior this year and she made the JV Volleyball team so we are all excited. Volleyball is really on the rise at Laguna Beach HS so there are big expectations for the 2006 season. This Saturday is the 22nd annual Aquathon where we go from Emerald Bay to the Ritz Carlton in Monarch Beach. Go to Aquathon.com to check it out. Enjoy your continued adventures. Scott.

Try singing with your students
Hi, Ty! You sound very busy. When I am trying to teach my Hispanic students English, I let them listen to books on tape, you know with the turn the page signals. Also, they like singing little nursery rhymes with a picture to go along with the song (like "Mary Had a Little Lamb"). Scott is off at college now...We are saying good-bye to your parents tomorrow. Love, Mrs. Watson

Hi Ty
I stumbled upon your blog while trying to figure out where my adventures should lead. I am 24 and live in Nova Scotia Canada. Thanks for some of the travel tips. Pretty neat to think that you've had an effect on where I might go, and subsequently altered my future. How's that for the chaos effect?

What a misson!
Hey ya! Took me quite a while to compose this msg to you. I'm so happy and envy that you got the job of teaching English in Taiwan! Especially to kindergarden children! WoW! I'm also very interested in teaching English in Taiwan. In fact, I've got one month holiday coming up in August and I hope I can spend my days there. Would your school take in a 'bu xi' teacher for a couple of weeks? I'm studying in England but I can speak Mandarin and English fluently. If the answer is positive we'll get in touch again.

These children are so precious. I can see them now saying, take my picture Teacher Ty! Did the parents have to wait 2 hours until you came out of the closet? How did the school get advance warning that they were coming that day? So very interesting. We love your blogs son.

Wow, Tyler, what a story. Your literary skills are really developing. The personification was great. Sorry to hear about the bike though. A foldable bike sounds like a good idea. Enjoyed the photos. Thanks for writing. Susan, Bob, and Trevor

We are grieving with you, Ty! Why is it that the good young ones are taken so early from our lives? However, those high maintenance models can suck the life from you... Good luck to you and Purple Patty. Remember...slow and steady wins the race!

Dumplings all around
Tyler, we love hearing about your travels and adventures. It's a little hard to believe that you are the music/dance teacher, however, we do believe that you have a sense of beat. Just kidding. Don't you have a Tiger in your tank? Keep having fun!

mom thinks you are neat
As always, a wonderful update. We are so proud of you. Must admit, we sure miss our little golf buddy. Wish you could be with us next week as we tee it up on the RTJ. But you have so many adventures to experience. We will see you in June. My fortune cookie last night was: The chinese word for children but now I can't even remember that one word. You amaze me with your determination and enthusiasm to learn the language. I am so pleased that you and Shannon will remain faithful friends. She is a beautiful person.

Grass Hockey?
I believe the answer to your question is that all of your new pals are named after, umm, what's that game called? You know, its like hockey, but...on grass with a smaller goal. Oh, yep...GOLF! Now pay up those buckaroos. Payne

Not really leaning...
So, Taipei 101 is not really leaning. Its just that everytime I take a picture and I'm a little excited, I tilt the camera and everything ends up sideways. Oh well!!
