This blog is so late. Supposed to post this August 20 of this year urghh. I'm back in the USA safe and sound :). But the memories are fresh, so i have to look back and write about what happened during my short solo backpacking trip. The girl that I was supposed to meet in Nicaragua got robbed in Managua days before I left LA for Costa Rica. Hola!! The highlight of my trip in Granada, Nicaragua is the 19th century architecture church of La Merced (Iglesia la Merced). Located at calle Real Xalteva, two blocks west of Parque Central. Originally built in 1539, and restored in 1862. As I've mentioned in my previous post, I have very limited time to research about Nicaragua. I was even apprehensive to go there since a friend of mine got robbed in Managua days before my departure. The only thing I know about the country is the colonial town of Granada.
