border crossing depending on which border crossing you're intending to make, it can be difficult going individually, but i think it can be done (from memory i met people that were going individually). but given that these borders are quite remote, if you get stuck, you can get yourself into some trouble...but it's all part of the adventure! if you at least have someone else travelling with you then i think you'll be fine, but i probably wouldn't want to do it on my own...
travel agencys ahoi, I have an important question: I heard a bordercrossing is only with a travel agency possible. Did you traveld individual or with an agency? If agency, how much was it?
Gretings and thank you!

Yes - it was about 65 turkish lira for a twin hut inc breakfast/dinner. prices may have increased for this year. but they also have cheaper tipi style tents or if you have your own tent, you can camp there!
Thanks. I really enjoyed you story - thank you. Super photos too. I'm planning on going to Central Asia next autumn, and you have made me want to go even more!

eagle hunting? ha ha i thought they hunted the eagles!!! and i was thinking how horrible that was since they are an endangered species here in canada.
then i realized that they used the eagles to hunt with. that would take a whole lot of training. that would have been really cool to watch.
hope you are enjoying your adventures so far. the milk in my opinion was a bit too adventurous but now you can cross that off your list of things you thought you'd never try. eww
This is amazing Bel. I love how you got some shots of them having fun and smiling despite having to go through rubbish every single day just to survive. It's heartbreaking.
Loving it! Hey Belinda,
I'm loving your blog. The photos are beautiful and your writing is great as well! I think you're only up to day three any I'm already looking forward to seeing what you've done each day.
You just made me cry with the story and photos about the garbage dump!
Can't wait to hear what you get up to next!
