Maggie and I both awoke around 9:00AM in the City Stay hostel. Luckily this time I awoke without a headache/hangover, instead I was just knackered from our three days of non-stop walking and sight-seeing. As you do first thing in the morning, even before you brush your teeth, I woke up. Except this morning I wasn’t alone. Aside from Maggie across the room from me there were also several builders. And the fuckers were drilling away at the insides of my skull. we left jeju very early in the morning (6:30 seems like a made up time when you're a lazy bugger like me) and grabbed a taxi to jeju airport. we got there a couple of hours before departure so we wandered around the duty free (must note it was the first ever duty free i've been in without any sign of toblerone), used and abused the free internet to check emails from jinsol. afterwards i had an amazing sandwich in a deserted cafe while waiting for boarding to start. the view from jeju airport is amazing, palm trees and well trimmed [View Full Entry]

second day in skorea and also our only full day on jeju island. me and emma got up reasonably early, about 9am, and went downstairs to the 'love hotels' reception desk to enquire about a hiking thing to do with the 238m 'mountain' at the centre of jeju island. in pigeon english she directed us across the road to jeju bus station. we purchased some tickets to the mountain base at 1,500 won (50p) each and spent the time we had to wait using the free internet in the bus station, sorting out the meeting me and emma will hopefully have [View Full Entry]
