I applaud you. You described the city quite well and the photos are so real that it lacks pretension unlike the others who patronize the city so much. I would say, Fantastic job.
Analyse the Curse of Monkey? Looks like a Rhesus monkey, but i'm not an expert. On the curse of 66, well its only one six short of the devils number and lets face it anything which looks as evil as those monkeys has to be from hell
Good to hear from you Hey dude,
Glad to hear from you! you'll probably have a t least one message from me on your answering machine when you get signal back.
South Korea, well you did leave it flexible. Am guessing you enjoyed your 80 or so days in Malaysia region then :)
I believe the leech is an Annelid which are also worms etc.

Lord of the Mings? Dude. Great to hear (read?) from you again. Had been wondering why you weren't answering your damn phone! Nice blog update, but dude, for the love of god and all that is holy (Keeley ftw) get the update frequency up a bit. You know we all panic like hell if we don't hear from you for about 10-12 hours. Keep in touch and keep safe big guy.
Good Journey.
lucky bugger Hi tom,
Well how jealous can one person be! I hope it is as amazing as it looks and that your not missing home at all. Though after 18 months you may be a little homesick. But for now enjoy and come and visit when you get back. Gabe
Free The Monkeys! Hiya Tom,
Looks like you are having an excellent time, keep up the good work on the blogs, they're a great distraction from my daily grind.....otherwise known as work! Oh, and i'm on the next plane over to help start a monkey revolution, get the wire cutters ready, we're coming to set you free!!!!
Big hugs, Heaths x
Dude your "Mental Compass Point" in Lviv is summoning stone! You could have got some help and had the guild there for a quick raid on the Ukraine! But I would have declined the summon. I need to get my gear repaired.
The meal shots must never end I'm lovin the meal shots man. They're a blog highlight. Thanks for phoning the other day. May have sounded a bit weird as was having that convesation outside the bosses office. The things I do for you :) Keep Bloggin man. Its all a highlight.
Meal shots and shoes on a string Just to make certain, I love the meal shots. I also appreciate shots of beer and shoes on a string.
I think the beer shots should become "a numbered feature". A lagers (or bitters as I would prefer) of the world, if you like.
In answer to your quiz Quiz 2 - Bird type - could you have a more fuzzy far away shot.
if i had to guess i'd say starlings (common throughout europe) and they have a tendancy to fill evening skies and fly in weird formations. otherwise i would say they are a type of dove/pidgeon.
Glad your having a good time man. Hope the flights ok. Still not sure why you sent me a texty with my flight details but cheers anyway.
Is it a volkswagon? Good to see that after only one month you've broken two of my travel taboos.
1. Dont eat brains, insides or anything described as the 'special dish', especially if it still moves.
2. Avoid Ukrainian women (especially when the missus is reading the blog with you!).
Rock on Tommy.
tom! its your little 3-hour music writing pal from dresden, chris. i just got back to my abode in the states, and the rest of our voyages thru europe were quite a roller coaster of joy. but i lost my cell phone the day after we left dresden, and thus lost the link to this here travel blog of yours. but i was so stubbornly dedicated to finding your blog that i hounded the net to leave you a little comment and re-thank you for the drink and the chatting. looks like i prevailed. take care of yourself on the rest of your travels my man. i'll be watching you on here. shoot me an email sometime to keep in touch, c.march@hotmail.com.
Wildlife expert - Beetle fanatic Putting on my goggles and staring at your picture, having analysed the Thorax and abdomen i have come to the conclusion that your beetle is......a female STAG BEETLE.
Diet: adult either eats tree sap or nothing at all.
Habitat: Broad-leaved woodlands, especially oak, but also parks and gardens where there are hedgerows, tree stumps and logs.
Glad to see that armour class of statues is important today as its always been. (unless your a mage)
Hello Hi Tom, Glad to see you are making your way safely along the carefully planned route, and only making minor changes, everyone will be so proud of you!! Everything really is on your doorstep now ;-)
Excellent blog and I'm loving the photo's, can we have more of you in your poncho though? maybe you could get matching wellies?!
big hugs XX
Hey Tom, great stuff, worked out i can log on at work. WOOT! photo's are great. Glad to see photo's of Amsterdam with keg for scale. or should that be photo's of Keg with amsterdam for scale. Prague looks and sounds ace. Think i'll be visiting in the near future. The sleeping arrangements look very intimate. Hard or soft mattress?
First message Hey Tom, first of all wanna say "cracking photo's" love the photo's and the comments with them. Glad your having a good time buddy. So how many different beers have you had? Stayed to local beers or the big brands? Prague looks and sounds great. Its like having your own travel advisor. Just got back from Tunisia myself, though only on work so didn't see anything. I'm sure i'll make up for your lack of carbon footprint dude, they are talking about sending me out every few weeks, sigh.
Hey hey Tommy,
Sorry I didn't get your phonecall the other day - I was at work, godsdamnit! I'm sure we'll get a chance to chat in the not too distant... still, annoyed to have missed the opportunity. Your journey continues to be as drunken and entertaining as we might have expected... bring on the Road of Bones!
By the by, for no particular reason I've only gone and started reading The Dark Tower books. And guess what? They're fucking ace! After all the mockery I felt compelled to heap on the bloated tomes, I'm storming through book 2 and literally cannot wait to get on to the next one. Deary deary me. That's MY summer wrapped up, then...
The pictures steal souls! Love the photo work Tommy.
1)The poncho was all I imagined and more, it looks as if it unleashed evil into our world (Pandoras poncho?). I almost spat my tea onto my computer when I saw it.
2) I think the instrument is a lyre? That's DnD training for ya.
3) Look at the fat b*stard hockey player! I love fat people who claim to be sportsmen. It's like me claiming to be the giant-king of Bulgaria (if you meet him on your travels tell him I said hi).
