| 20th April 2008 Dazzle | Watch out, Russell Brand is about! - From: Fiji Time! I take it you're in LA now? Keep clear of the nightclubs as the big haired weirdo is on the prowl. Fiji looks like the perfect place to chillax, glad you loved it. But are you sure you didn't stop off on the mysterious island from the TV show 'Lost'? it's just that I'm sure I saw Hurley in one of your photo's. Where are you actually visiting in the States? I've trawled through your now monster blog and can't seem to find out what you'll be doing in your final 2 weeks. Whatever you do, make the most of it because "real life" is not too far away now. Nothing of any note happening over here, baby's still bouncing, Donna's still blooming and I'm still working. Love to you both xxx |
| 19th April 2008 Mum and Dad | Wow - From: Fiji Time! Well it sounds wonderful and a must for us if and when we do the trip to New Zealand, nxt year. | 15th April 2008 Benjy | Benjys Beatiful Lawns - From: It's a Family Affair!! Luke, it would be my pleasure - A few questions to get this moving……. Do I need to bring my mower and equipment with me or will you provide the tools for me? Labour only charges are very competitive however I may have to charge traveling expenses, I can assure you that your lawn will look great when I have finished. I have done the figures and to get your lawn scarified, raked, mowed, treated and full prepared would cost around Ģ4000 - that also covers the family’s traveling expenses, a weeks free board and of course a beautifully finished lawn. Yes - please do move the car as it could increase the already competitive quote, the good news is I do have a account with "Dent Busters" after my recent problem - love to all, ben x |
| 15th April 2008 Luke | Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz - From: It's a Family Affair!! Lynda's got late night staying power because she doesn't get out of bed until 10am. Tina was too scared to try and wake her up any earlier. Glad you both had such fun. It was great having you here and can't wait to get back over to your hemisphere soon. I'll have to get Ben over to do my lawns - sounds like a visual feast. I'll move the car first. |
| 13th April 2008 Benjy | Grasser!! - From: Our Share of the Girls Dazzle, your such a grasser!!! |
| 11th April 2008 Dazzle | You can talk Ben... - From: Our Share of the Girls I don't think you're in any position to tell anyone how to mow a lawn do you Ben? At least Mum and Auntie never dented and scratched the neighbour's car in the process. How the hell you managed to do that I'll never know. |
| 9th April 2008 Dazzle | Well hijacked. - From: Our Share of the Girls Quote: "I can play on my computer for a couple of hours"...... I get ya Norm ;o) |
| 9th April 2008 Dazzle | Golf - From: Moving on Up! Alright all? Ask Uncle Norm what the golf's like out there, if it's good then see if he'll give me a job milking his cows. It looks like a lovely area but I bet that church gets a little crowded on a Sunday. |
| 9th April 2008 carrie | hi mum - From: Our Share of the Girls hi mum sorry if you thought i had dropped off the planet but i have been reading the blog missing you really bad cant wait for you to come home xxxx |
| 9th April 2008 Benjy Q | Keep the lines in the lawn straight! - From: Our Share of the Girls Lynda, by the looks of the picture on this blog you are not doing it right!! How many times do I need to tell you - Please keep the lines in the lawn STRAIGHT and in-line with the back door so they are running AWAY from the house…. Are you trying to write your name in poor Uncle Norman's lawn or what? Looks like you’re all over the place. Do it properly please. Tina, looks like you have a much better technique and you can mow my lawn anytime. Lynda, get practicing please as your front lawn is now higher than your house, at least it hides all the broken windows and fire damage. Anyway, I may soon stop reading this blog out of protest, I am extremely jealous, in fact its making my life look extremely bland and boring - I better get back to my presentation to the NHS - how exciting! Ben "still sitting here doing the same things " Quiney ps Jimmy just taken Louis Swimming - they looked well cute driving off in his van - Louis was well excited - how cute! |

| 7th April 2008 JIMMY | MUMMY - From: Going South Hi mummy and auntie , hope your still having a good time . Ive been off work today with a sore face , i went out with my mate for something to eat last night and the waitress asked me what i would fancy and i told her "a quickie please " she looked at me and said "ill ask you again what do you fancy ?" , i replied that i still fancied a quickie, and with that she slapped me across the face and stormed off ! Then my mate turned to me and said "jim, i think its pronounced "quiche " xxx |
| 6th April 2008 Dazzle | Snow is falling.... - From: Going South Unfreckingbelivable, It's only snowing!! I was in my shorts basking in some glorious sunshine and 18* temperatures on Thursday and now I'm looking out the window to some mad blizzard. | 5th April 2008 Hazel & john | Remember us? - From: Going South Hi You two Remember us, we met in Hanoi, Ho Chi's Mausoleum tour? I have just found your blog address in all my stuff when I was unpacking. It sounds like you are having a whale (pardon the pun) of a time, well done. We have been home for 10 days and I really wish we were still travelling, ten weeks was not long enough. I think I enjoyed Japan most of all, but then all the travelling we done on the Transib, stopping off in Mongolia and staying in Ger tents was fantastic too. We done a home stay in Siberia where the toilet was at the bottom of the garden. I woke John up the ifrst night to ask him if he wanted to wee (which he didn't as he was asleep) but after he came with me the first time I was ok. Don't you find yourself fascinated by toilets? I think you must be nearing the end of your trip now, I wonder if you are ready to go home? I wasn't and can't see a two week holiday being any good in the future. Good luck with the rest of your travels, I am very jealous. Hazel |
| 4th April 2008 the barnes family | hello again - From: G'day from Down Under hello girls sorry its taken me so long to log on again. australia looked great, lynda you are so brave going in the sea there, were you not scared a great white might get you, i know i would have been. tina you were brave too going on the boat to watch lynda. how lucky are you both to have seen the whales and all the lovely dolphines i'm so very jealous. i've dropped mitch up to jimmy this evening so he can work with him this weekend, how strange is that? we are watching benidorm at the moment it is hilarious den hasn't stopped laughing. looking forward to reading the blogg to see what your up to later in the week look after each other love sally den frankie and mitch xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 4th April 2008 Dazzle | Ben talking rubbish, as usual. - From: Going South Firstly take no notice of Ben, the whole darts comp was a shambles. It was suppose to be a real test of darts with everyone playing each other, 501 best of 3. But thanks to Ben and other crap players who couldn't hit a double to save their lives we had to abandon that idea otherwise we'd still be playing now. In it's place we played a game designed for 3-6 people with 8 of us, which I soon lost interest in and played the Xbox instead. That is the only reason he finished above me and even then it was by the skin of his teeth. Ask him about the trophy I won the week before.... he'll go quiet then. Anyway back to business. Some stunning scenery over there especially those lakes, however Lake Wanaka has one too many A's in for my liking ;-p Mum, you look like some kind of mad cavewoman from the ice age in the glacier picture. I'll book you in with Laura for the day you get back. I'm glad you're not using the term "awesome" to describe anything, that should only be used in a sentence containing these other words - Darren's, beard & is - Nothing much has happened here over the last few days, I've been at work (remember that?) most of it. Putting in some overtime so Donna can get the radio controlled pram with built in home cinema and machine guns for when she gets shopping rage. I'm sure Donna's keeping you both updated with baby news via e-mail (she's a little shy to post on here). Ginger, when we next send Mum and Auntie some photos I'll copy you in. Right that'll do me for now, go to go for a well earned tea break... er I mean... do some work. We expect plenty of party pics in your next blog (unless you do one before of course) with bar diving a plenty. P-A-R-T-Why... because I gotta! Rock on xxx |
| 3rd April 2008 Grumpy old uncle Norm | We have already started to cater for you - From: Going South Just imagine we have been here so long that we are called Poms instead of cockneys, and we have been in the paddocks disguised as true kiwis looking for Moa's to put on the barbie when you arrive. My main fear is that you will have been over stimulated by the wild night life that prevails in rural New Zealand and that we will have to feed you valium sandwiches soaked in gin to calm you down. We really are looking forward to some quality time with you both next Monday and may well put up a barrier to stop the press trying to get an interview with a pair of intrepid travellers. Take care and our love to you both. U Norm & A Jan |
| 2nd April 2008 Paul | BEAUTIFULL - From: Going South How beautifull , no not you two , New Zealand ! Linda - didnt like the sound of the helicopter ride , made my stomach turn thinking about it x What lovely photos , really looks a special place to visit . Tina - did you remember me telling you about the little church (terry visited ) ? Bet your looking forward to the party at the weekend . Quick hello to Donna , bet your blooming now love , so excited for you both , speak soon , take care girls xx |
| 2nd April 2008 Benjy | I BEAT DARREN !! (for once - well sort of anyway!!) - From: Going South Well, don’t know how to start, the whales looked simply surreal and the Glazier looked incredible, I may have to stop reading this blog because it makes me so Jealous! What’s this about you popping pills before going on boats, I am sure it’s usually done on the clubbing scene not whale watching?!! Lake Wanaka looks like the place for me to learn how to fish, I could sit there for hours, just beautiful. Keep up the good work girls, your doing us all proud. I just wanted to let the whole world know that I came second in the darts on Sunday. It was the final day of the Geekathalon - a 3 day tournament for Matt "The Pirate's" birthday including Golf, Bowling and Darts. Tony "The Don" (Matts dad) fluked a bullsye (only joking Tony - good shot!!) to take first place and I finished in 2nd. For those who dont know this is a huge achievement for me; basically I beat Darren "El Magico" which is as good as winning in my book - in fact anything apart from last place is an achievement!! I would prefer not to discuss the Golf, Bowling or even the final standings of the 3 day tournament because it’s embarrassing (for me anyway) As you can see girls, nothings really changed here - we are still as competitive as ever and most of the time I continue to lose, and at most things!! when on the very rare occasion I do win something (or even come 2nd) I like to try and rub it in as much as possible!! The funniest moments of the weekend was the Darts entry music provided by Darren "El Magico" and Wilmot "The Women Warrior" who kept missing the dart board and hitting Matt "The Pirate's" front room wall in full view of his parents. Matt "The Cat" Hammond somehow won the event with Darren "El Magico" coming a close second. Anyway, it is great to hear you are having a wonderful time, it is all good here - the kids are just amazing and Louis got into his school which is BRILLIANT news, I will email you some more pics soon, give all our love to the family in NZ. Ben xxx ps - make sure you keep calling, its great to hear from you xx |
| 1st April 2008 Chez | KIA ORA TOGAS - From: The Third TOGA gets to blog. Kia Ora Togas Hey girlies and thanks Karen for the blog - good luck in your new job! Thanks for the pic of "the fit bloke" but I particularly loved the look of the Waiotapu Park and the mineral pools and geysers, also loved what Tina said about how she felt when she saw the glo-worms at the caves. Take care girlies! LH&K, Chez xxxxxxxxxxx |
| 1st April 2008 Dazzle | Top blogging Kaz. - From: The Third TOGA gets to blog. Nice one Karen, very informative yet witty blog. I'm just wondering if Mum and Auntie have ended up like Jonah, only I've not heard from them since their whale watching trip. Well if you've got an internet connection from inside Willy we're all fine, Donna's still getting bigger by the day but enjoying every minute of it. Although she still can't decide what bloody pram to buy (my betting is she'll go for the most expensive ;o) Not much else happening, we all had a big boozy weekend for Matty's birthday (which is today by the way). I've only just recovered and Ben is still dying, you know what big girl's blouse he is when it comes to hangovers. Why do you keep putting the brand name of a concentrated orange squash at the end of your blogs? don't you know it's only for me and my dog.... Big love to one and all in NZ xx P.S. how's the new job going Karen? |
| 27th March 2008 PABLO | KIWI - From: We Are Family Hi gals , all looking splendid , loved the photo of tina with her legs wrapped around the flagpole , (gave me an idea , sorry mum ) Dazzle got a tash , is it grey ? | 26th March 2008 Chez | BYE BYE OZ - From: The Aussie Odessy Ends Hi Girlies Wow, the Kuranda Skytrain souds fab - bet the view was awesome and I do really envy you riding in the outback Lynda. Bet youīre sorry to leave although thankful you had no excess baggage to pay, how jammy woz that? Any chance you two could travel with my Mum in future? Safe journey gals - canīt wait to see whatīs in stall for you on the NZ leg. LOLH&K Chez xxxxxxxxx |
| 26th March 2008 Dazzle | Owzat!!! - From: The Aussie Odessy Ends Hello you two, hope the Kiwi's are treating you as well as the Aussies did. If not just give 'em a little dig about the cricket..... barmy army! More lovely sights you've seen (I like the waterfall pic) to add to your collection, bet you can't wait to get back and see the wonders that Dartford and Gravesend have to offer. Did you have to eat that weird looking creature for some kind of bush tucker trial to get out of the country? Note to Karen - Give these two a good night out, for the first time ever they're starting to sound like a couple of grannies, too young this, too noisy that, nice early night.... snap out of it girls *slaps mum and auntie round the face*. Glad to hear that you've not had to ditch any gifts yet but if you do Kevin, Carrie, Chris, Jimmy, Nicky and Ben have all said they'll gladly give theirs up first which is nice of them. Donna and the baby are both fine, we brought the furniture for the nursery the other day. Only went out for a loaf of bread (Penfold cut of course) and came back with a cot bed, wardrobe and dresser. I did however get it all for half the price, saved myself 350 smackers... you're not the only sucker for a bargain Auntie. My beard is still awesome Mum, I can even curl my tash now. Peace out! xx |
| 24th March 2008 Maureen | Enjoy New Zealand - From: The Aussie Odessy Ends Hi Tina and Lynda. So you've arrived in N.Z. Well done. What is that in Tina's hand. Never mind try again later. Well we are so enjoying pictures of scenery that is so fantastic. I have even used Seals Rock as my back drop on my computor screen. You both looked so relaxed and enjoying yourselves, we are here in the pouring rain on a cold windy Sunday afternoon. Sarah and I were on our way back from Blue Water a couple of days ago. And she decided to take me to the Hideout to try LIIT... But alas it was shut. only open between 6 and ing the evening. so will try again later. I would also like to try all those different fish that Lynda's mentioned. But still sticking to Sunday roast. Enjoy the rest of your time to OZ. Stay safe. Maureen. x x |

Enjoy that Ozzie wine, all good training for the superior whites we have in NZ. And I don't mean that White Cloud rubbish either. Did I tell you there are at least 5 boutique wineries within a 10 minute drive of our house? But you have to take us with you ha ha - we've got the car! xx |

I know how much Mark and I loved it but you never know if someone else will think the same. Thanks for working out why I don't like Chardonnay. I now have a good excuse to go up to the bar and ask the bar-person for wine without any oak in! I'm sure that'll go down very well at the local working men's club. Keep blogging and keep safe you two. Love Susie x |

Hello Tina and Lynda just read the first two blogs from Melbourne and Sydney brought back some very happy memories. You were really brave on the bridge walk. Tom went on the Blue Mountain steepest/fastest railway but I chickened out, do they still play the Indiana Jones theme? Looking forward to the rest of the reports. Take care all love Marg. |
| 6th March 2008 Chez | CCCCRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKEEEEEYYYYY - From: Happy Mardi Gras from Sydney!! Hi Girlies How totally unselfish of you Tina, opting to sit out the Harbour Bridge Walk so that you could take a photo of Lyn on the bridge!!!! I see you decided on the easier option..............Iīd rather go under it with a cocktail in my hand!!!! (and I donīt blame you!)Well done though Lyn - does nothing fase yoou big brave girl - I could only stop and imagine how absolutely amazing it must have been and weīll just have to wait and see if indeed anything manages to top that experience during the rest of your travels. Did you say you are driving to Brisbane? - I can picture it now, top down, scarves and shades on..............just go easy and take care luvies. LOL&H Chez xxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 4th March 2008 Dazzle | Strewth, you sheila's have been busy. - From: Happy Mardi Gras from Sydney!! G'day from freezing Pommie land. Looks like you're having a bonzer time of it out there, glad you liked your flowers. I can't believe you went on a cocktail cruise and never sampled an Aussie LIIT, why's that? are they too difficult for an Aussie to make? Mum - you look like you've been pumping iron from your pic on the bridge, is that so you can wrestle a croc? you seem to have done everything else ;o) Have either of you chucked any shrimp on the barbie or seen my ute? Love you both xxx |
| 4th March 2008 Jim | Brothers of Pol Pot - From: Phnom Penh Hey there! A few points need clarifying about the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot. Firstly, "Pol Pot" was not short for "Political Potential": think about it, why would he choose an English abbreviation when he didn't speak English at all? The name doesn't mean anything; it's just a name and was chosen to conceal his real identity - his name was actually Saloth Sar - in order tgo confuse and mislead his enemies. Secondly, the figure of 3 million dead is a huge exaggeration. No one claims that figure these days. The generally accepted figure is 1.7 million, and even that will be challenged by the defence in the forthcoming UN-backed trials of the surviving leaders. Thirdly, when your guide talked about Pol Pot's brothers he didn't actually mean brothers in the literal sense, he meant brothers as in "comrades". Like many revolutionary organisations the Khmer Rouge believed in strict secrecy, so Pol Pot was also known as Brother Number One; his deputies therefore were Brother Number two, Brother Number Three etc. So it was the deputies (men like Nuon Chea, Khieu Samphan and Ieng Sary) to whom your guide was referring. Pol Pot did have brothers in the biological sense, but they were totally unconnected with the Khmer Rouge and didn't even know he was the leader of the regime until well after they had seized power. I hope you realise I'm not getting at you! After all, you only know what you're told, right?! I just think that if you were interested enough to go to see the monuments, you deserve to know the facts about what you're seeing. Safe trip! |
| 3rd March 2008 JIMMY | MUMMY - From: Happy Mardi Gras from Sydney!! Hi mum, I need to talk , i met this girl at zens nightclub last night and she asked me back to her place , when we got back to her flat i noticed her bedroom was completely packed with sweet cuddly teddy bears . Hundreds of cute small bears on a shelf all the way along the floor , cuddly medium-sized ones on a shelf a little higher and huge enormous bears on the top shelf along the wall . I was surprised that anyone would have that many teddy bears but decided not to mention this , and was quite impressed by her sensitive side . Anyway i turned to her and we kissed ... then we ripped off each others clothes and made hot steamy love for two seconds (this is normal i checked with darren ) After an intensive night of passion , we lay there in the afterglow , and i rolled over and asked , smiling , "well how was it for you ?" She turned and said "help yourself to any prize from the bottom shelf " |
| 3rd March 2008 Benjy | Still here on my Settee!! - From: Happy Mardi Gras from Sydney!! Hello you two, Glad to hear everything is going well and enjoying speaking to you on the phone Lynda, keep calling with your stories. I had to send you this note because you’re never going to believe this……. yesterday evening we went and watched Take That the Musical and I must say it was amazing, we all loved it and even Nicky was up dancing at the end of the show. It made us all think we really wanted to be in a band and we all started dreaming. When we got back we all joked that we would try and find some auditions to see (just for a laugh) if we could get through. You’re not going to believe this but what a coincidence that on Sunday in Swanley they did the auditions for a tribute PJ and Duncan group (Ant and Dec's old group) they are to be called BJ and Bumcan. Darren was so excited and really up for it so he decided to go to audition. Obviously he asked me to partner with him but I explained I was waiting for the Bros Tribute band (Dros) so turned him down. Anyway Matt was also desperate to try out his stuff so he and Darren got dressed up in their baseball caps, practiced their Geordie accents and went down to the auditions to see what was occurring. You will never guess who was there............... Jimmy - he had decided to audition too. He didn’t tell anyone because he really wanted to be “Dec” and he said he would feel like he was letting everyone down if he didn’t get it. You will never guess who else was there…….. Simon Bloody Cowell - apparently he has this massive idea to take BJ and Bumcan around the UK as the original group had a massive following and he feels its time to bring them back. He is putting all of his contacts and best guys behind this to make it work. Well, the auditions were held at Swanley Hall and the queue ran all the way back to the Ģ1 shop in the high street (way past Asda). Darren and Matt finally went in together and did their version of "let’s get ready to Rumble" - when Matt rapped (shouted) out the immortal words "watch us wreck the mike, psyche" Simon Cowell asked them to STOP IMMEDIATLEY - he said……………. That was absolutely……………. Fabulous, He went onto explain that they are everything he has ever wanted in a BJ and Bumcan tribute. He said that with a bit of work and a lot of dedication they could dream of selling out amazing venues like Wilmington Memorial Hall (how cool is that). He called a stop to the auditions and sent all other people waiting to audition home. Darren and Matt only bloody well got through - they are now BJ and Bumcan. They have been taken away this evening by the local bus company to stay at the Campanile by the Dartford Bridge for 2 days of intense voice coaching, how showbiz is that. They are doing their first night at G-A-Y on Wednesday followed up by headlining the Weight watchers Easter Party at Birchwood Golf Club. They are both so happy and we wish you could come and see them. We are all so excited, obviously Jimmy is gutted but I have managed to find him a audition for Elton John next Thursday in Bexley Village so he is OK for now………... Obviously this is all rubbish again and totally fabricated! I am sitting at home on my settee next to my beautiful wife wishing we could be sitting in Sydney sipping on a cool beer with you. My stories could never be as good as yours! Enjoy girls, keep doing as much as you can and GO AND DO US PROUD……. X :-) |

I'm dead jeolous you've been to Ramsey Street. Did you see Toadie? I was watching telly and Billy Connelly was in Melbourne, he was looking round at all the different sculpture, good one called THE ANGEL. but I did think Tina and Lynda tell a better story and make it much more interesting. In case you didn't get postage details it's as follows. Air Mail 7 to 10 days. By Sea 1 to 3 months depending if a ship is in dock. also below 2kg is very cheap. So enjoy Aussie land. Stay safe stacks of love. X X X |

| 28th February 2008 karen | and........ - From: G'day .....don't forget to try the famous meat pies from the caravan down on the waterfront in Sydney, comes with mushy peas and mashed spuds and gravy - that'll stop you in your boots! | 28th February 2008 aunty jan | - From: G'day Hi there yous guys - glad to know you are back in civilization (sorry, that doesn't apply to Aussie). We did the trip from Brisbane to Cairns last year. We were told it was a 15 hour drive but don't listen to them, it took two weeks with a lot of travelling, 2,500 kms but a great trip especially if you like squished kangaroos and bananas. Try Kinkia Beach cabin at motor camp, near Yapoon, Mission Beach south of Cairns and you will love Cairns. Watch out for box jelly fish, green ants, salt water crocks, sharks and red backs otherwise have a great trip. It will be safer to say in the pubs!!! Love Jan and Norm |

Just to imagine having bought so much stuff you've had to post some home makes me feel dizzy ....!! So glad that you're little 'tummy ailments' seem to have cleared up as no more mentions were made - would it have anything to do with the amount of LIITs and other alcoholic beverages I wonder ...!? Anyway, really glad everything is going well and you're having a great time. Will have another look in the next week or so to find out how things are going over in Oz. Keep up the good blog-work and take care of each other. Lots of love, Eva xxxxxxxxxxxx |

| 20th February 2008 Chez | I AM GETTING DIZZY!! - From: Bangkok Revisisted Itīs true, Bangkok, Singapore, KL which is your "new, well-travelled lingo" which rolls off the tongue like L.A. I suppose!!! I am lost................... hope you ainīt......................so by my reckoning you are on your way back to Singapore (homeless once again).......yes???? I have to admit, I am a bit out of touch with your travels as we havenīt had the internet at work all week so have only just managed to get back in touch. Cabbages & Condoms - sounds crazy and fun. Well, hope you have a better time in S than in KL..............oh and by the way L, Hīs īnīKīs 2 u 2 xxxxxxxxx |
| 20th February 2008 Lorraine & ARC | - From: Bangkok Revisisted Hi Lynda, glad to see your training at ARC didn't go to waste.....a condom palace !! (safety first) and LIIT. We are already planning a return party (you know us any excuse) where we are expecting you to practice the different LIIT variations with us as the willing guinea pigs. Talking of parties, Jan had a surprise 60th at the weekend which was really good fun. Sadly however John forgot the address and spent a considerable amount of time lurking in the bushes by her house (it wasn't there) dressed as darth vader !!! Having got freezing cold and worried he might get arrested he returned home before phoning me to get the right address by which time he'd lost enthusiasm for the latex and got changed. We were all sooooo..... disappointed. James has managed to sell his house so is a little less manic as the pressure is off. Gary is on the missing list now that YIP has folded. Anita has moved out of her house so is also less stressed. We are now all walking around like Winston....if we get any more laid back things will come to a halt - as if the young people would allow us !!! Now you are totally up to date with our highly exciting, fun packed lives. Anyway keep your stories coming as they are at least brightening up our cold, dark and foggy days. Love lorraine, all your friends and young people at ARC xxxxx |
| 19th February 2008 Joanne | Hiya Girls! - From: Bangkok Revisisted I have a theory as to why your messages are dwindling! Our lives are so boring in comparison! Have sat here thinking about what I can tell you that might be interesting.....came up with 'it's bloody freezing'; 'have been to Sainsburys twice this week' and 'the new series of Most Haunted has started'! See what I mean, it just doesn't compare!! Even being in a departure lounge for 12 hours is more exciting......trust me! Enjoyed your latest entries and was intrigued by your Ladyboys! Did you say where you met them, cos if you did I missed it. Was it in Cabbages and Condoms?? What a place eh? Am presuming the condoms were only used in the decor and didn't actually feature in the menu?? Seriously love reading what you are up to and particularly like the photos, you both look so relaxed. Am constantly telling Ian that it's just what I need, but he won't have it.....how very unreasonable! Keep me dreaming!! Take care girls, Loads of love, The Hendys xxxxx |
| 19th February 2008 juliep | Testing blogs - From: Bangkok Revisisted Hallo Blog Engineer. How the devil are you? Don't forget, if you feel lonely, just blog us and we'll invite you out! ps I did send a blog but can't see it so perhaps there was a problem. Love JP |
| 19th February 2008 juliep | Of course we haven't forgotten you!! - From: Bangkok Revisisted Don't stop blogging! Glad to hear you're still out there. The bar in the sky sounded great. As Lyndie told me it was a bit like the Top of the Mark in San Fran but outside. So KL not great but never mind, still lots more to explore. Life in UK just the same. Tomorrow night (20th Feb) we are going to see 'Brief Encounter' - stage version of the film. No rude comments pleae! Just the six of us, Duch, SueK, Susi, Donna, Bim & Olivia. Weather here is cold, foggy and sunny - all in one day. Looking forward to seeing my glass collection. Love from Joolsxxx |
| 18th February 2008 Mum and Dad | Sorry - From: Bangkok Revisisted Sorry, I havent written lately .through the blog but I am not very good at writing stories but just to say that I am sorry to hear that the last few days havenot worked out very well for you but you have to expect the odd hiccoughs. | 18th February 2008 Dazzle | test....... icle seems fine to me. - From: Bangkok Revisisted Sorry I've not spoke for a few days, they've actually kept me busy at work so had no time to get on here... what's that all about?! No point in in trying to set up one of those rubber restaurants in Dartford, no-one uses them by the look of the town centre. The view from the top of the Tree looks good. Did you hock a loogie from the top? please tell me you did. I'm also getting a little disillusioned about this trip of yours, are you sure it's not just one big shopathon? I didn't mind you spending my inheritance on a global adventure, but looks like most of it's being spent on stuff I could get you cheaper on Ebay ;o) I'll let you get back to your plane spotting now, love ya xxx |
| 18th February 2008 carrie | glad your not lost - From: Bangkok Revisisted hi, glad have updated blog was starting to wonder if you had gotten lost but natalie will be so happy to here that you have not she has made up a little song its called the nanny song cant remember it all but here is a taster "i love my nanny oh i bemember wen my nanny was here and we did have some fun oh i do love my nanny" some thing like that but rest assured she has definatly not forgotten you.i did email you last night and will again soon love you and cant even begin to tell you how much i miss you and love to auntie too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 17th February 2008 hello hello | I'm still here - From: Bangkok Revisisted Checking in on your blog everyday, thinking about you and all the fun you are having (apart from the hours spent waiting in the airport). The condom restaurant sounds like a great idea, I might suggest it to the local council, see if they want to start up one here! Oh yeh I forgot, it's a farming Christian town so forget that idea. Pity you had such a bum run of KL, I stayed there for 2 weeks but with a Chinese family and got spoilt rotten so had a very different experience. My main problem in Singapore was with the shopping, being that the shoes were all to small for me - YES ME! But really loved the food, especially the satay and the star fruits, and going to the Indian emporiums - great fun. Mwah....Karen |

| 14th February 2008 Anne & John | Hello Girls - From: Chill Time! Well we are so glad you are having a wonderful time. We came home from Spain on the 31st Jan and as the plane doors opened on landing at Liverpool, the wind was howling. I honestly don't know how the car stayed on the motorway for our journey home. Never mind we go back on the 25th Feb. I worked 6 nights last week and finished on Sunday am. As I got home and was getting out of the car, I shut the door on my head and ended up going to the walk in centre and having stitches. John says it was my brain cell trying to get out! We are having our joint 60th birthday party on the 23rd so I will probably be having apoplexy on the day as we are doing all the catering. Still it will be lovely to see family and friends and then we can recover in Spain. We have had lovely weather this week-warm sunshine and clear blue skies every day. Duncan has stayed for the last 4 nights and is going home tomorrow as I go back into work tomorrow night for 7 nights -I must be mad-still it brings in the flight money. Lisa is doing well and has lost almost 6 stone. Well I think that is all our news-boring isn't it. Hope you continue to have a brilliant time and enjoy every moment. P.S. Emma has booked her flight for your birthday Tina Take Care Lots of Love Anne, John & Emma xxxxxxxx |
| 13th February 2008 karen | the cleanest ever - From: Chill Time! thats the cleanest squat toilet I've seen, positively shining! Glad it's not in smelly vision tho'. Hey girls I need to know if you are arriving here in NZ on the morning of the 23rd or 24th of March. That's Easter weekend and we are thinking about going away for a couple of days but of course we want to make sure we are back in time to collect you (and the Easter bunny) off the plane. Please let me know. That Thai beach looks devine, especially today as I look out of my window and see drizzle. Not to worry, I've ordered a calm warm and sunny March and April this year for you so we have to get some rain in before you come. Karen |

| 10th February 2008 Cousin Jo | Hey girls! - From: Forget the beach we've found the shops!! Hi there lovely cousins! I have been reading your blogs with a mixture of envy and pride. What an amazing trip and aren't you just the girls to take up the challenge. I have sent a private email (or two?) but don't think I can have done it right.........bet you're not really suprised somehow! Just wanted to let you know we are with you every step of the way, loving your stories and hoping some of the magic rubs off. Life here is as always, hectic, chaotic and full of testosterone!! Love and miss you. Keep on being amazing and have a jam jar or two for me! Jo and the boyz xxxxx |
| 10th February 2008 karen | the old man - From: Saying Goodbye to Vietnam Hi you two, just thought I'd let you know that I saw Dad today and he's doing just fine. Isaac mowed his lawns for him on the ride-on mower, and Dad felt well enough to come out and bark instructions at him and throw in the odd joke as well, so all is going hunky-dory. He told Isaac to try to mow nice straight lines, and then Isaac had fun doing wheelies and wiggles all over the place like he'd had one too many! We are all wondering what you want to do while you are here. Any ideas? Shall I book you in a bungy jump? Or maybe a 5 day hike across the mountains. You might be here in time for the University pub crawl, pretend you're doing a degree in farm management and join the sheep shaggers in the vomit pit. Glad you're having a good time in Vietnam. | 8th February 2008 Dazzle | Ransom - From: Saying Goodbye to Vietnam Oh, there you are. I thought you'd both been kidnapped! got what looked like a ransom demand in the post the other day so got really worried, but then thought it was a bit too steep... turned out it was my mobile phone bill. Glad to hear you're starting to see some of the natural wonders over there, must be getting a bit tired of Pagodas and Temples. Make sure you let me know what the divings like. Are you going to partake in a bit of diving Auntie? (no not that sort Ginger... you perv). Nothing much to report from me, still decorating and working. Don went to the midwife and she's been signed off work for a couple of weeks to get some rest as she's been a bit tired of late. Don't worry though, the baby was checked and the midwife said it was as happy as Larry (not a bad name for a boy, what d'ya reckon?) Weather's been unusually sunny the last few days, even took the kids down the park yesterday in a t-shirt! Sh!t, look at the time. Do you know what time it is..... home time (yep i'm writing at work again ;o) Love to you both xx |

| 5th February 2008 Eva | Exhausted!!! - From: Forget the beach we've found the shops!! Girls, I'm absolutely exhausted just reading about all the stuff you're managing to cram in each day - not to mention the number of drinks ....!!! Really glad to hear everything is going well and that you're enjoying yourselves. As you say, hopefully the 'malaria tablet problem' (yeah right!) will get better soon - if it hasn't already! As a complete shopaholic, I'm of course completely jealouos of what sounds like a fab shopping excursion - what did you have made by the way? Anyway, all the best for now and look forward to the next instalments. As always, lots of love to you both! Eva xxx |

| 4th February 2008 Maureen | LOVE THE NEWS - From: Talk Amongst Yourselves Hi travellers. We love and look forward to your stories so much. It has been cold and very, very windy here, so much so that you take one step forward and are blown back two steps. But not as bad as Pam in Scarborough, who has had snow. (I told her to keep it!) But envy you tha lobster on the beach so much and the warm sun. Caught my son on MSN. he text to ask how to answer, but soon got the reply SUSSED IT MUM. well done Paul. now you can chat to loads of people. Stay safe and enjoy your travels. x x x x x |
| 4th February 2008 Chez | LOBSTER ON THE BEACH!! - From: Talk Amongst Yourselves Hiya huns - just how bloody decadent can you get? Donīt answer that just yet as you have a lot more air miles to go!!! Well, it canīt get much better than that..................or can it?- guess weīll just have to watch this space. Apart from getting wrecked and frightening the f**k out of some poor b*****d on a moped (next time I think we should choose the caption for the shot - quick idea: we could have a competition like Jet Set Lottery and the lucky winner could take your place on the next leg of the journey), I hope Tina didnīt let the side down by sneaking some of those jam jars away in her handbag when no-one was looking. Is your Tour Operator/Airline aware that they will have to lay on an additional plane (probably air bus) for all your souvenirs, clothes (which we all know Tina is absolutely desperate for), matching sets of jam jars, orphaned children, etc for the last leg of the journey? Anyway, great to catch up with you - see you at your next port of call. Take care luvvies, hugs & kisses. Chez xxxxxxxxxx |
| 3rd February 2008 Bim | Jam jars? - From: Talk Amongst Yourselves Tina (simply the best) and Lynda - am so proud of you two holding it up for the Brits in a yacht club somewhere in East Asia. You know you've set a standard now for every visiting Euro? So, next stop will we see you moving ever onwards and upwards to the next stage? Not that I'm advocating over-indulgence of alcohol (goodness, I wouldn't want to encourage you two..) but can we expect to see the next drink served in a vase...? |
| 3rd February 2008 Paul | - From: Talk Amongst Yourselves Im finding out more about family and friends on this blog than any phone calls i get , i come on here for massive news stories from around the world and find the biggest story is fago has a JOB !! and as for the hair braiding and speedo-clad men, might start calling him just fag x then i find dazzle has won the lottery and hasnt told anyone, just spending it all on his house ,trying to do a property ladder (dont start me on sarah beeny , you know what i mean lads ). Well girls looked fun in the pub and hope your all shopped out, Tina been out looking at quad bikes all day, and linda its probably all that water making you unwell ! Love to you both xx |

| 3rd February 2008 Luke | Girl power - From: Forget the beach we've found the shops!! I now realise that girl power is actually the ability to clench your buttocks together and not leak on long journeys. You go girls! I mean, don't go! So glad that Jimmy has moved in with a couple of ginger tossers and seems happy. You go girl! Donna, the Kiwi contingent are so pleased to hear that you are pregnant and best of everything with that. Your welcome to come and stay when you and Darren take the kids on your world tour. Tina and Lynda - yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehar! for your trip. It's never easy but it's always interesting. Truly impressed with the two jam jar effort Tina. We're rinsing out our jam jars here in anticipation of your visit. Hopefully, Lynda will be up for it by then. We'll also have the adult nappies ready just in case. Lastly, Paul, a wife thinking about throbbing penises is a good thing - pigs' penises . . . not so sure. |
| 3rd February 2008 karen | Malaria tablets... - From: Forget the beach we've found the shops!! malaria tablets my arse.......all that home brew that's made you runny. Can't fool us. |
| 2nd February 2008 Dazzle | Disappointment... - From: Forget the beach we've found the shops!! What the fcuk?! Since when has a dicky tummy ever stopped anyone in our family getting bang on it? Hang your head in shame mama. Auntie - big up yourself babe (although I'm sure you could've squeezed another jar or two in). Would've been more exciting if you'd have been driving the moped too. Matthew's here and was wondering if the lady running the beach cafe had any 'fish fingers' because apparently all other fish dishes "stink", the heathen. We're all good, house is still upside down though. Tony's been round today fitting a new window as well as Rick doing the stairs. Got the carpet being fitted Wednesday so hopefully this time next week it'll all be finished and looking like Llewelyn-Bowen's been round. I'm off down the Stag now to watch the Amir Khan fight, play pool, darts and drink some jam jars. Love always, Darren, Donna, Bump and Fago xxx |
| 2nd February 2008 Chez | WHERE ARE YOU TOGAīs? - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Hiya huns, Have I missed a bit? Donīt seem to have had any updates since you found the beach and the Yacht Club!! Have you been press-ganged, met a couple of sailor boys, been locked up in prison, lost the laptop, or have the LIITīs finally caught up with you and youīre out for the count? ..............Or,......... am I not pressing the right buttons? Well, get your act together and get blogging please. Anyway, take care luvvies - canīt wait for more updates. Love, hugs & kisses to you both and "them indoors up the mountain" xxxxxxxxx |

| 1st February 2008 Fago | Flip flops - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! I love the idea of taking your shoes off at the door. Think of all the sh1t and germs and stuff you tread on throughout the day and then trapse through our houses. The Far Easterners can't believe us Westerners do that. It's pretty gross when you think about it. Say hello to Gary Glitter for me. Ask him why he stopped responding to my letters. |
| 1st February 2008 Fago | Fagin's minions - From: Phnom Penh I hope you checked your pockets after all the hugs from the kids. Classic manouvre that one... I'm so glad I've finally got the link to the blog. Now I'm at work, I need something to do to pass the time. Please don't hesitate to post a few photos of speedo-clad men, erm I mean bikini-clad babes from the beach. I've got massive news myself. After many years thinking about it, being pressured into it and many opportunities and even half-hearted attempts at it, I finally made one of the biggest decisions of my life to date - I've also had my hair braided. |
| 31st January 2008 Paul | Hiya - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! | 31st January 2008 sally den and kids | 1 0 to the cockney boys !!!!!!!!!!!! - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! hello lovely ladies, i can see your still having a fab time. whats all this i,ve read about you being racist ? not that much happening here apart from rotten lousy weather, yesterday was very nice and sunny but freezing. me and tracey went to wembly stadium yesterday for a meeting about disabled peoples rights. the meeting was in the royal box and we were able to to go out to where the players walk up to lift the cup,we loved it, we met trevor brooking (nice man), after the meeting we went straight to upton park for the match, as i read earlier you already know the score 1 0 to us. right in the last minute of extra time, ha ha! gerrard now you know how it feels, he did not get a very good reception at west ham but he doesn,t deserve one. i,ve jus taken mitch out driving (very scary), he wanted to buy a play station 3, we got one he really pleased as punch.frankie is in birmingham this week her company have there trade fair, she enjoys it and is doing really well in her new job so she says. i love reading everybodys comments so keep on blogging everyone, dennis says hello ! lots of love coming your way look after yourselves love den sally frankie and mitch xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 31st January 2008 Chez | HIYA TOGAīs - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Hi Again Girlies Sorry, have not been near my office computer for a few days so just catching up on your travels - your travels must fill you with so many different feelings, the heartache of the Killing Fields to the happy smiling faces of the school kids!!! Anyway, your accommodation now seems to have improved tremendously but have the LIITīs? Hope you have saved some room in your cases for Bangkok. Take care luvvies. Love, hugs and kisses. Chez xxxx |
| 31st January 2008 Des Lynam | Footie Update - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Finally I have some good news to report to you girls, West Ham got a little payback on the theiving Scousers who robbed them of the F.A Cup a coulple of seasons back. They scored an injury time penalty to win 1-0 at Upton Park, with the young East End lad Mark Noble showing nerves of steel to fire home with virtually the last kick of the game. Not much else to report, with wins for the top 3 again and no major transfer activity apart from the crappy Spurs spunking 9m pounds up the wall for a right back!! Mr Paul Penfold, If you're reading.... the reason I've not been keeping the girls updated with Crystal Palaces results is quite simple, no-one gives a toss. Harsh I know, but fair. P.S. they lost 1-0 on Monday :o)) |
| 31st January 2008 Dazzle | Beach - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Here we go, no more interesting blogs as the girls have found a beach. It'll be all golden sand this and crysal clear sea that from now on. Only joking, enjoy your rest the best you can and send some nice weather over our way. We've got gales and sub-zero temperatures heading our way over the next couple of days :o( Any chance of a local beer report every now and then (seeing as you seem to be drinking enough of it) much like your Long Island Ice Tea comparison? Had Jimbo round the other night to move a rad and do some pipework, very impressed I was too. Although as a natural born foreman I was none to pleased about all the orders he was giving me, does he not remember the sterling work I done supervising the construction of the Capel Palace Arms? Anyway, I'm at work so I'd better go do something. Donna sends her love and says the baby wont stop moving around especially when we read the blog to it. Lots of love, missing you both xxx D&D |
| 31st January 2008 karen | Jedi training..... - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Hi Lynda and Tina, you are moving so fast! Every time I log on the blog you are in a different country. Cambodia sounds like a bit of hard work, you will probably enjoy Vietnam more now your training is complete young Jedi's. I have friends who went there recently and loved it. Interesting food......I saw a Lonely Planet programe on Vietnam where the researcher tried everything offered to them including still throbbing snake hearts and no longer throbbing pigs penis (it's true!!) and smelly 1000yr old duck egg. Are you up for it???? I'd stick to the cold beers myself. Your photos are great, keep em coming. Stay safe, Karen |
| 30th January 2008 Dawn&Dame | Go on girls! - From: Good Morning Vietnam!! Hello mum & auntie Linda, I just got am email from Swifty telling me about your adventures, wow I'm so jealous, you really are seeing the world hey! Your pictures are amazing & sounds like you're having a ball! My brother Ian has just set off on a backpacking adventure, & left Heathrow on the 14th Jan, flew to Bangkok with the same airline as you, what a coincidence... I will have to ask him if there were a couple of hotties sitting near!! I will keep track of your trip now I know about it, it makes great reading & lifts out January gloom! Love to you both, Dame, Dame & Ryan xx |
| 29th January 2008 Maureen | BEN'S SETTEE - From: Phnom Penh Wow girls I've heard of magic carpets, but Ben has a fantasy settee. I Love the story, do you know I actually got up to look out the window to see if I had 6 foot of snow and was Tom Jones out there. I even contemplated going upstairs to dig out my MOON BOOTS. (Ooooh do you remember them from the 60's) I still have mine!!!!. What I saw out of my window was a very cold looking postmas and I could barely see him through the fog. When you get back home you've got to nag him to write a book he might do even better than J. Rowling? Then Nicky could chuck her job in at Top Shop and go and work in Harrods. Those lovely children must look forward to daddy's bedtime stories. Brilliant Stuff. The only truthful bit was your not missing a thing here. Tina I spoke to son up in the mountain. He's fine all he wanted to talk about was Palace, so I gave the phone to his father. The're both talking about Palace going to the premiership!!! HAVE THEY BOTH BEEN SITTING ON BEN'S FANTASY SETTEE??? (Sorry son.. Up the palace). x x P.S. I saw a blog from Kev there somewhere.. How are you my lovely adonis... keep the goals coming. X X X |
| 28th January 2008 mark | THE BOILERS FIXED!!! - From: Phnom Penh YIPPEE GOOD NEWS Jimmy has done the boiler, and we are now the proud owners of a swimming pool where our kitchen used to be! Luckily the boiler still works so it's heated as well! For god's sake Lynda please come home, Sue keeps making me put on womens clothes and wearing a curly wig, oh , errrr, dont rush back, anyway its really cool keeping up with your travels i can't believe the things you've done in so little time. Sue asked about adopting and i said ok as long as it fits in my golf bag and can carry 4 crates of stella. Ignore those idiots who have nothing better to do than trawl through other peoples blog and complain , we know you they don't.GET A LIFE! looking forward to the next blog..................... |
| 28th January 2008 fletch | toga wishing it was three - From: Phnom Penh Hi ya, It might look like I dont send you any messages but I send private ones, not that Iv got anything to hide, But tina sends to me and I reply. As I said in my private message ha ha IGNORE the stupid Bastard that says you are racist, or let him contact one of us, me if he wants. silly f*****. Any way as others have said we are so proud of you both and I wish I was with you. Take care love to you both fletch xxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 28th January 2008 Benjy | Still on this Settee!! - From: Phnom Penh Big Respect out to the Toga's - still doing us proud. Keep up the good work, its fantastic to hear your stories....... Well you’re not going to believe this............... You are missing so much here!! It snowed last Thursday; we had 2 meters of the stuff! All roads and offices have been closed so everyone was sledging and ski-ing down the roads, it was so romantic. We all went up to Barn End Lane and were all ski-ing down the hill. Louis and Mia looked fantastic and took to it like they had been doing it for years. Then (and your not going to believe this) Tom Jones was doing a one off charity performance at The Orchard Theatre, obviously no one could get there so it was cancelled. As we were making our way back up to the top of Barn End Lane for another shoosh down the hill we bumped into Tom, he was in all his ski-ing gear and was staying at Rowhill! We spent the whole afternoon with him, he was a fantastic skier. He then came back to our house and I put the under floor heating on in the conservatory (obviously it was a special occasion) and we played sing-star until about 4am in the morning. Guess what his favorite drink is? yep - sobrano and coke!! We explained that you were both big fans and he remembers Lynda from the time she had to be escorted from his house! he was gutted that you could not have been here but we have loads of pictures for you. We have had some more good news - Donna and Darren went for another scan the other day, everything is fine but we have a bonus! she is having triplets - what fantastic news. The final point you WILL NOT believe, this is a big one. Are you ready for it…….. Are you sitting down……. Well Nicky has not been to Bluewater for at least 4 days, 12 hours and 37 minutes. She decided she needed to cut down because the staff in Topshop and New look had started to think she worked in the stores. She went in last Wednesday and the Manager at Topshop pulled her into the office and gave her an almighty telling off. She asked why she had not been into work for two days and more importantly why she had not called in sick. Nicky explained the situation and tried to explain she did not work in the shop but she spent lots and lots of time in their store so it must just seem as though she works there. In the end we had to get proof from our bank that Topshop had not paid her and they finally agreed she did not work there. What a mix-up! Anyway, I would like to stick up for Jimmy, the house is very tidy and very much near completion. The sauna, steam room and outside Jacuzzi are now all in place. His water-bed arrived yesterday and his pool table, fruit machine, beer dispenser and dancing pole will be fitted at the weekend. It looks great Lynda, The house has been painted in the west ham colors, I told him not to do it but now he has it looks fantastic, I am thinking of doing the same on mine. As you know all of the above is total rubbish, I am STILL sitting in the same place on my settee, drinking far too much, watching the same programmes, having the same mood swings, reading your fantastic blogs. The kids are truly amazing, Nicky still has plenty of retail therapy and we are all so proud of you. GO GIRLS AND CONTINUE TO DO US PROUD. You are missing nothing! Make it count, do as much as you can and continue to live the dream! Lynda Loo, hurry up back so I have a drinking partner again!! All my love Ben "The Bull Sh1t correspondent" |
| 27th January 2008 david | traffic - From: Phnom Penh Hey togas, next time you login check out the stats, admittedly one was from a complete d*ckhead who thought that saying that you were visiting a poor combodian was a racist comment. Perhaps you should sell advertising on the web pages to recompense the kids for all their inheritance going on long island ice teas. Still no horror stories about toilets, we wanted to hear about 3 foot lizards in the toilet, whole animal communities living in vats of turds under the seat, or rats swimming around the U-bend and biting Tinas bum. Can we have at least one horrible toilet picture, just to give Suzie nightmares. |
| 27th January 2008 kev | how you doing, - From: Phnom Penh just a quick message before i go to bed, i spoke to you ealier and you both sounded like you were having an amazing time, altough obvously seeing a few things that are hard to take, i guess we have it so easy when you think of things like that, but still, dont go giving them any of our money, because they wont know what to do with it or even worse they will just waste it, ok keep the good work up and i will catch up with you soon, all my love proud of you both xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 27th January 2008 Paul | Hi Girls - From: Phnom Penh Read with great interest your visit to Cambodia but one huge question remains unanswered, DID JIMMY TURN UP TO FIX SUSIES BOILER ? back to Cambodia it looked a dreadfull place but the kids looked great . | 27th January 2008 Eva | Gob-smacked!!!! - From: Phnom Penh Girls! Finally got round to having a look and read through your blog and can safely say that I'm in total awe and so, so jealous - what a fantastic experience ....!!! | 26th January 2008 JulieP | .Phnom Penh - From: Phnom Penh I was so moved by your visit to the Killing Fields and uplifted by the visit to the orphanage. One question? Who has accused you of being racist and offensive - obviously someone who doesn't know you at all!! Making observations about other cultures does not mean you are critising! Looking forward to hearing the next blog from Vietnam.... please say hallo to Country Joe and The Fish won't you? Love Joolsxxx |
| 26th January 2008 Maureen | Love the travel news! - From: All Templed Out Hi Tina & Lynda. We're loving every bit of your travel news, reading it over and over again. While your riding a Tuk Tuk, I,m still driving to the local shops, As your walking over the river Kwai bridge, I'm walking to the scholl. The Food from your Thai market make me green. | 26th January 2008 Dazzle | Apologies... my ar$e! - From: Phnom Penh Suesday Mae (and Auntie), First off, ignore all those who have been sending you negative comments about your blogs. I take it they're from people you don't even know? If those people are reading this then fcuk off and read someone elses blog if you don't like it.... losers. I must say that it's not been the most enjoyable entry so far, but then again it's not suppose to be. It was quite hard reading it so heaven knows what it must of been like for you two actually being there. Well done. Liked the braids auntie, but I was hoping for you both to come back with dreadlocks. Enjoy the rest of your stay there the best you can, I'm sure a few more cocktails and beers will help and I'll speak to you both when you're in Vietnam. Knyom sraw-line ne-uh nah xx (that's a little bit of Cambodian in there if you're a bit confused Ginger x) |

| 24th January 2008 Chez | HI TOGAīs - From: All Templed Out Hiya huns, Love the look of the floating village but, as you say, unless you are actually there I donīt think anyone can really imagine just how these people survive in such conditions - as you say, "There but for the grace of". Well, look at you Tina, being ferried around by a sort of motorised touk-touk - is he your private chauffeur? Well, your travels sound and look just as exciting as ever - will tune in tomorrow to catch up with the latest news. In the meantime, have fun and be careful. Oh, and whilst Iīm on, hello and thanks to Paul Up The Mountain who gave me details of your blog and hi to the rest of the gang up there. Love, hugs and kisses, Chez xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 23rd January 2008 Susie | Now I know why Jimmy hasn't fixed the boiler! - From: All Templed Out He's obviously too busy drying out his bed, poor love! | 22nd January 2008 Auntie Julie | MESSAGE FOR JIMMY - From: The one you've been waiting for! Dear Jimmy - Auntie Bim and I are becoming very worried about you! I promised your mother that I would look after you whilst she is away having a great time so Auntie Barbara and I have decided that we will come and stay with you this Friday night.. We may even stay the whole weekend. So...Jimmy, please make up our beds and have a bottle of brandy and vodka available for us. As you seem to be having a 'little problem' I will bring a plastic mattress cover for you. Jimmy - Auntie Barbara and I think that you are being a little selfish, worrying your poor mother whilst she and Auntie Tina are away on their very important fact finding mission in Asia, Australasia and North America. However, you needn't worry, because myself, Aunties Barbara, Tracey Luv, Julie Fletch and Susie are here for you. Love Auntie Juliexx |

| 21st January 2008 ARC | From us all in the A Team - From: The one you've been waiting for! Common this is so unfair, we're all slogging away while you are having soooooo much fun. Three guesses as to how the weather is.....Wet, Wet, Wet !!! Winston wants to know if your sob sorry to the traffic warden resulted in non payment of the fine ? In other words did all the bullshit mean you got off. James asks if you got his hotmail for Singapre and Ko sumi ? A word of caution about squatting....make sure you are facing looking DOWN any slopes, pee plays havoc with your shoes. Everyone is missing you including all the young people who keep telling everyone you've gone for a year !!! Do they know something I don't ? Love lo and all the gang xxxxxxxxx |

| 21st January 2008 Des Lynam | Footie update - From: The one you've been waiting for! Hi gals, Des here with your weekend footie news. West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw away to Man City (yes we played them again). In one of the most one sided draws you will ever see, the Hammers played them off the park throughout the 90 minutes. But an inspired performance from City's young goalkeeper and a goal that was clearly offside earned the Mancs a point. Elsewhere there were wins for the top 3 to keep it very tight at the top. Here are the weekends results, Fulham 0 - 3 Arsenal, Portsmouth 3 - 1 Derby, Brum 0 - 1 Chelsea, Blackburn 1 - 1 Middlesbrough, Reading 0 - 2 Man Utd, Spurs 2 - 0 Sunderland, Newcastle 0 - 0 Bolton, Wigan 1 - 2 Everton, Man City 1 - 1 West Ham. Liverpool and Villa playing Mon night. xx |
| 20th January 2008 david groves | following the travels - From: The one you've been waiting for! You two seem to be getting into this blogging lark, perhaps we could set a HomeAlone blog up so Jimmi can keep you updated about the house and pictures of various bedrooms. There seems to be some censorship going on here. Didn't you go to the Girlie bars in Bangkok. Think for completeness some shots of these should be included, not too rude though; or perhaps you didnt go! Looking forward to pictures of Angkor Wat; the quiz question is who was it built by. and who is it dedicated to. |
| 20th January 2008 Karen | big shout out to youse guys - From: The one you've been waiting for! Hey cousies, fab blog. Such a laugh to read and soooooo informative on family matters. Good to see you're having such an amazing time of things. I'm really jealous (except perhaps about the squat toilets). Here's an unsolicited travel tip - plastic shoes come in very handy in case you pee on your feet by accident so you can wash it off again. And what's wrong with chicken soup for breakfast??? Promise to give you good old fashioned bacon and eggs when you get here. Mum reckons New Zealand will be too quiet for you in comparison to Asia, but she doesn't know what I've got planned. Donna, Dazza!!!! Didn't know you were pregnant, this is fantastic news :) We are VERY excited for you and hope it all goes well. Hi Jimmy, Kev, Paul, Carrie, Nicky, Ben, Mo, Joyce, Jody etc from us. Safe travels Lynda and Tina, avoid the sex bars - a game of ping-pong will never be the same again. Kiss kiss, love Karen |

| 19th January 2008 Bim | FO Comment - From: In the meantime ......... The Foreign Office would like to extend it apologies to TOGA but due to the extensive nature of the trip we have been unable to furnish you with your usual Foreign and Overseas Toilet Facilities Reconnaissance Officer. We would also like to extend our commiserations for Ms. Jackaman's recent predicatment whereby she has had to squat in ungainly and unseemly positions several times in the past 24 hours. Please be advised that as uncomfortable as this may seem at the time there are long term advantages to the strength of stomach, leg and buttock muscles. The F.O. would advise both Ms Jackaman and Mrs Penfold to consider practising 'clenching' for at least twenty minutes every night. This will ensure that, should you be unable to find acceptable toilet facilities on your travels, you may be able to postpone the inevitable for a little longer. As a final word of warning, please be aware that you should at no time take the offer from strangers to 'come with me and I show you nice, clean toilet...' This will almost inevitably lead to trouble (possibly double). Should TOGA need any further advice please visit www.foreignoffice/toiletrulesabroad/loadof.crap.uk. or send a complimentary air ticket to Bim, c/o Freelance and Very Expensive Toilet Checkers Across the World who will be with you in a matter of hours. |
| 19th January 2008 donna | lets hear em...... - From: In the meantime ......... Dear 2nd Mum & auntie, Hee heee I love checking into this blog, cant wait to hear the stories? I cant believe you left these cliff-hangers. Please tell me more, you cant keep a pregnant women in suspense, its not good for me! Anyway that's what im writing for..... Baby update..... Baby Carter is deffently active. It fluttered for about for 20 minutes last night then in the early hours (Ben's b/day) it turned to a few pokes/kicks which I haven't felt before. Amazing feeling. Still cant feel anything on the surface yet. Cant wait for Darren to be able to join in and feel this wonderful feeling. Bless him the only thing he's felt during this pregnancy so far is my hormones! He has them, he's a right bitch, you should hear his high pitch winge! Matt will back me up. If he's not high pitching at me he's high pitching at Matt. Just kidding he's being a wonderful dad already. (He's doing you proud Lyn) Decorating the family room is coming on great thanks to Darren's crimbo overtime. He's so great at planning ahead. Today for example he reversed the car into the Ikea pick up point to collect two trolleys of flat packed furniture. He popped the boot to start loading and this is what I saw. Large bag of golf clubs, selection of loose golf clubs, selection of clothing (worn & unworn), cricket bat, tennis balls, trainers, selection of plastic bottles (some including liquid content) cricket stumps, a rolled up darts mat and a dart board. That's just what I can remember and you know my memory's good for nothing!! Loading the car was like playing a game of tetrus! I stood there mouth open. He had the cheek to ask me how far forward he could put my seat without my bump touching the dash!! He obviously thought his car was the tardis, so why ask. No seriously he really is doing a wonderful job at looking after me and preparing for our future. Cant wait to hear more stories so keep em coming. Love and miss you both. Stay safe. Big kiss and hug's Donna, Daz & bump xxx |

| 17th January 2008 Des Lynam | Footie update - From: Out and About in Bangkok Hi girls, Des Lynam here with your football update. I regret to inform you that your beloved Hammers have been knocked out of the F.A Cup, losing 1-0 away to Manchester City in their 3rd round replay. The match was somewhat marred by crowed disturbances, which CCTV later confirmed was started by 2 of the East Ends most feared gangsters - James Jackaman and Matthew Fagan A.K.A 'Meat Head' and 'Mouldy Face'. A West Ham Utd spokesman claimed that whenever these two travelled to away matches together the Hammers always lost and pleaded with them not to go again. In other football news non-league Havant and Waterlooville beat League one leaders Swansea 4-2 to book their place in the next round and secure a 'Dream' tie at Anfield against the mighty Liverpool. Also Kevin Keegan has made a surprise return to football management by being appointed the new Newcastle Utd manager. That's the lot for now, i'll update you on Sunday with the weekends results. Have fun and be safe, Love Des xx |

| 14th January 2008 Ben Quiney | You have been busy girls! - From: First 24 Hours Sounds like you are having the best time.... We are still just as jealous as when you left.... Just wanted to keep you updated with news.... Firstly, The weather here has been amazing, it has been 95 degrees since you left and we have all been in the garden sun-bathing. Obviously the temperatures have caught everyone out so most businesses have sent all employees home for the rest of the week because the air conditioning systems cannot cope. So we are not only having the most amazing weather but everyone is off work too! Then just when we thought things could not go any better Jimmy found a lottery ticket in his bedroom that he bought in 2006, I told him we should look up the numbers for a laugh. WELL YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS - he only won Ģ15,000,000. After he gave me half (for helping) and paid off his debts (mostly to me) he had about Ģ3.67 left. I went up the pub with my share to celebrate alone because my drinking partner (my mother-in-law) is doing a around the world trip! As you can probably appreciate none of the above happened it’s just a very immature way of me saying how jealous I am of you both and trying to make my life sound half as exciting as yours! The weather is terrible, we are all working extremely hard and Jimmy is not a millionaire (YET!) We are however missing you very much! Everyone is well and we are living your experiences through this amazing Blog - keep up the good work girls - DO US PROUD……. All my love Ben “The Bull Sh1t Correspondent” |
