Happy Birthday Hi Marilyn,
Just a e-mail to wish you a Happy Birthday (a card is on it's way to home), we trust you have not been caught up in the chaos of the fires, but you must have had to endure the record tempertures that we saw on TV. As I type this, I can hear the rain beating on the window.
Anyway we hope you have a good birthday to-day!
Love John and Bobby

Have been following your blog with interest, but old computer would not accept emails. Now have new computer and on broadband and so new email address now to use. Please let us know what email address we should use for you. By the way I am glad I did not see that snake! You have certainly been to some intersting places on your travels. Have a good birthday Marilyn as I don't know where you will be. Will email again when know what email to use.
See you soon! Hi guys - good to read another great blog. Just wanted to thank Marilyn for the lovely throw we just received - you are clever, and the colour is perfect - talk to you on the weekend!
lots of love El, Nic and CJ xxx
Nth Qld Hullo travellers, am just catching up on some of your news, well overdue - we've been offline for five weeks. Finally fixed the #@***# thing. News of Whitsundays etc, oh it sounds and looks absolutely wonderful. Sunshine Coast is my most northern destination so far. What a lovely Lizzie story. Thanks too for her pic, she's gorgeous, looks bright and intelligent. Thank goodness her traumatic life hasn't affected her. John and I are off at the weekend for our two week camping trip through the Gibson Desert to Ayers Rock (brrr!) then Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre, Flinders Ranges and back on Nullarbor. It'll be fabulous! I am going to northern Japan in November/December to visit our son in Hakodate, that's an impulsive decision, suddenly ready to visit. I won't write a missive, just love to keep in touch with you all. My love and best wishes travel with you. Dina S
latest blog Hello me dears. This latest blog certainly brings back such happy memories or our visit with you last year. Hey you could get a job as a tour guide now! Keep 'em coming great reading. Love to all 4 folks and a tickle to the 3 four legged friends too. XX
Sad old memories You are truly stirring them up.
You two are seriously good tourists - you actually look and react to things around you - rather than the "it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium" approach.
My Molly is well but I have put out the word that she needs a small companion. Her blindness is so isolating and I now fear we are becoming too needy with each other. It still breaks my heart.
Stay well you three - when are you coming home? I need a haircut!
Love to you both - I do miss you.
Jude
Foot loose layabouts Gotta be honest. Today 15 Aug/09 is the first opportunity I've had to check your blogg. Quite fascinating.
Have been doing my best to look after Annie. Dementia is difficult. I finally had to take a back seat for a few days to recover. But last Thursday gout took over my right foot, so I am no further forward except the gout is now under partial control. The dogs have had to make do with my front and back yard. Today I can put some pressure on the foot thus I can hobble here and there at home. Friends have brought me a few things from the IGA.
I talk to Jude almost every day, or vice versa. I hope I have persuaded her to NOT quit on her mammoth Uni studies since she is more than 75 % thru them. Most of all I envy the climatic warmth you must have found in those latitudes.
Here we have endless gales, horizontal rain and a thermometer STUCK at 16C--max.
I may emigrate. Please take care and stop falling about!

crocs Hullo happy travellers,
Great to read your Darwin/Katherine news. Was a bit bemused by scary mentions of the Johnson crocs, but see they've
been vindicated later on. We've swum with them on many occasions. NOT THE SALTIES!!!
Thinking of you all, love the photos, keep pics and news coming, it's like I'm there with you (without the hassle of the real me!)

Following your travels with interest We are enjoying your blog - glad that we do not have to face the snakes or crocs.... you're more than welcome to them.
We look forward very much to the next episode..
We have Aussie weather here - 90 degrees and rising.
Love to you and your fellow travellers.

well done LOVED reading about the Kununurra section of your journey. I can almost see and hear and smell it all, your writing style is just lovely. Thank you
We met the Durack sisters in Broome '84. They were very famous even then.
Remember swimming with the Johnson crocs, they say they're safe but don't invite a dog to join the swim!
Hope that Millie's having a great time too
Best wishes to Pat and John also.
May your journey continue joyfully and safely

BUSSELTON NOT HAPPY!!!! - Weather is shocking down here. Glad your having such a great time. Will pass your wishes to the girls at Red Cross. MISS YOU HEAPS - AILEEN
Warm breezes - not. Hi Marilyn and Trev, you certainly chose the right time to head north! Almost since the day you left we've had wintery weather and all it entails. There were voilent storms expected this week and as I write this on Saturday morning, apart from some wind and rain, they haven't arrived. The high speed Rottnest ferries were cancelled due to the rough sea, but we're still waiting for "the other shoe to drop."
We're sure you're enjoying the balmy breezes and interesting scenery, and good luck to you!
Welcome to our travel blog. This is Trevor and Marilyn, currently driving around Australia with our trusty companion Basil the dog. We'd love to hear from friends and family while we're on our travels, so send us a message.... full info
